I genuinely think I'm ruined when it comes to framerates. My nice PC has completely reset my expectations. I'm terrified of going back to Bloodborne :(

It doesn’t take long at all to readjust to a consistent 30fps. I’d say within an hour of gameplay for anything it doesn’t bother me anymore. Not like I can’t still tell the difference or anything, but eventually your sense of it running “wrong”, or poorly, that jarring feeling coming from 100+ FPS, just kind of fades away.

Started Horizon for the first time last night. Was surprised by what a slow starter it is!

The intro goes on way too long in that game.

Watching a playthrough of the start of Returnal and am surprised by how much it's like Metroid. Which means I'm interested.

Jim Ryan spoke to someone and DIDN'T put his foot in his mouth. I hope he's okay.

Speaking to Nikkei (paywall, translated by VGC), the PlayStation boss said the company has been “quietly” investing in the creation of first-party software, and that it could pursue further M&A opportunities to bolster its in-house development capabilities.

“We have been quietly but steadily investing in high-quality games for PlayStation, and we will make sure that the PS5 generation will have more dedicated software than ever before,” Ryan said.

“We have repeatedly engaged in mergers and acquisitions, including Insomniac Games in the US. We will not rule out that option in the future.”

Our collective leadership team is no stranger to building memorable multiplayer experiences. Ryan Ellis, our Game Director, was a Creative Director on Destiny. Elena Siegman, our Executive Producer, was a producer on Guitar Hero II, Bioshock Infinite, and multiple Destiny releases. Our deeply talented team has helped bring to life franchises like Mass Effect and Apex Legends. Combined with my own experience (and, er, thousands of hours played) on Call of Duty and Destiny, we’ve had the opportunity to deliver some of the decade’s biggest experiences to gamers – and we’ve loved it.

Lots of quotes from Hermen Hulst in this piece:

PlayStation signs AAA multiplayer game from former Destiny veterans

The first game from Firewalk Studios will be a PS5 console exclusive

Yesterday felt so bizarre. It kind of felt like they went from no communication to ALL the communication

"Soho Engine" sounds like an 80's euphamism.

Regarding the Horizon Zero Dawn complete edition being free at the moment, I seem to be unable to 'purchase' it due to having bought the frozen wilds expansion previously, but I have the main game on disc. Is there a way that I can force get the digital complete edition so that I don't need to keep the main disc any more?

Soho was the team behind The Getaway weren’t they? Could this hint towards that IP making a comeback?

See another thread about change the frequency bands on PS4.

I'm not sure how many people knew this.

You can change either 2.4GHz or 5GHz in the network settings and the only way to get almost full speed is 5GHz.

It's worth to check it and change to 5GHz.

I’ve got the DLC ages ago and I am still able to add HDZ to my library. Try “view product” and see if you can add the complete edition that way?

If not, your best bet is to create a brand new PSN account along with a email you’ve never used before for PSN. Then add the game.

It isn’t locked to PS plus so you can use the main account to play the game.

Right? I saw one on Twitter today from Ghost of Tsushima. A horse mounted silhouette against a gold sky backdrop. It was simple but stunning.
