Anyone know if it's possible to blow anything up in December's PS Plus games?

Come on now. That's not true is it.

What was the GC line up again? I did have one, but I can't even remember, other than the Star wars game..
What else are you comparing it to? It may sound mad, but Astrobot has provided the most fun I've had on a console launch, for some time.

Your PS5 may hard crash several times, don’t think it’ll explode though

Apparently it’s the worst one of the lot. JC3 was on PS Plus last year (or longer than that) and it’s the better offering than the fourth one.

I'm holding out until tomorrow to get a PlayStation Plus subscription in the sales. But if you have it do you get to see the trophy help cards for Astro Bot and Miles Morales? I want to go for the Astro Bot platinum because it deserves it.
For saved video MP4 is better quality than WebM right? I saw a YouTube video made from MM footage that had HDR label pop up.

I had a lot of fun with JC4 (something something Gamepass). Certainly more than 3. It helps that it doesn’t run horrendously on consoles like 3 did.

3 also doesn’t have a PS4 Pro patch so looks a bit rougher.

I also enjoyed 4 a lot more than 3, but that was because I stopped playing 3 because of the horrendous load times. Neither are as good as 2 but they are still good fun. 4 has a lot of inexplicable changes to series staples but the weather effects and the front lines are really cool.

Nope. If a trophy isn't part of a "challenge" (e.g. collecting all 4 puzzle pieces on a stage) then on Astro it doesn't have a card. So counterintuitively to the whole point of cards, you might still have to use an outside source to get the Platinum.

It is in my opinion.

What even is a “launch line-up” these days? Do only exclusive games count? For the PS5, they’re nearly all available on PS4 too, so which games are truly exclusive to PS5 at launch? The Series S|X doesn’t have anything that can’t be played elsewhere either, and as much as I’m enjoying its advances (to existing games almost as much as new ones), I would never claim it has a particularly great launch line-up. Of course the games are better on the new consoles, but IMO that doesn’t constitute a strong launch line-up.

But then, if you count everything that’s playable on the new consoles, then they have launch line-ups of thousands of games, putting them in a different league to other generations.

It doesn’t really mean what it used to.

I would say a launch game is a game made exclusively for that console or a console in the same 'generation'. Not a ton of titles you could play previously but now in 60fps 4K with Ray gun tracing.

How many titles can you only play on PS5? One is a remake of a ps3 game and the other is a free tech demo.

I'm happy enough with the current Plus offering. With Bugsnax and the Plus Collection I already had eight new games to play at launch so am plenty busy, plus have always been a Worms fan...

The look of the console has really grown on me now. I think it looks really swish. Anyone else feel the same?

Do I need to do anything to update from a PS4 version of a game to PS5? GAME have sent me a PS4 copy of Dirt 5 as they had sold out of PS5. I've put the disc in and it's just started downloading automatically, do I need to do anything or go into the Store to get the PS5 version or will it automatically upgrade?

Shouldn't be needed, you can just reveal the hidden trophy details by selecting them and clicking the Options button. That's what I did to mop the last few up. I presume that doesn't require Plus?

There is a link that will appear for the PS5 version that will appear when you put the disc in. It should be to the far right of the install option.
Alternatively, if you highlight the game and press the options button, you can select which game version you want.

Nope. But trophy descriptions don't always give you a clear pointer regarding what needs doing.
