It's looking like the 13th is a good bet for getting a final release date and price.
My final guess is November 6th and £475 and they will announce a bundle with the headset for £575.

I've heard the rumour about the 13th, but that was a little while ago. Has there been confirmation by anyone?

I think I'm starting to understand why DS5 may be really kind of cool...

“Previously on pretty much any console that has vibration or rumble, it's a nice feature that sometimes can make things more immersive, but I haven't felt anything quite as intricate and sensitive as the DualSense's haptic feedback,” Tibitoski said.

“In our game, being in first person, running on different terrain, jumping in and out of water or running into bugsnax, you can feel the difference between running on grass versus running in water versus running on sand or snow. There's weather in our game and if there's a thunderstorm and things of that nature, you can feel where the sound is coming from through the vibration."

In addition to using the DualSense’s speaker to play the sounds various bugsnax make,Young Horses is also using the DualSense’s adaptive triggers in the process of trapping bugsnax.

“[We’re] even using the light on the controller to display how endanger you are of a bugsnak escaping from a trap. We're also using the adaptive triggers,” Tibitoski said. “Different traps have different functionalities and some of those are best exhibited through, tension in those triggers or rumble in them to make you feel like you're really using them.

I may replay some PS4 games just to feel the different weather effects  Crazy stuff. Can't wait to try it.

Though I'm assuming for a BC game to use DS5 feature-set they'd then need to update the game.

The white border would look better with a white case tbh, like the PS4 had the blue border with the blue case. But whatever it'll sit on a shelf and I'll never see it anyway.

Needs to be white, black, grey or clear. Blue doesn’t work.

For me, nothing will ever top the original EU PlayStation/Dreamcast cases though. And nice thick manual to read on the bus. :datass:

Not feeling that white on blue

Remember when a big deal was made out of the Switch and HD rumble?

This is just another sixaxis situation. Or touchpad, even, although that's had slightly better luck in becoming the map button.

I honestly don't.

I understand your scepticism, but I really hope you're wrong  The games so far haven't done a massive amount for me, so this whole feeling the environment thing could be the hook I'm initially looking for.

Far Cry 6 will support free PS4 > PS5 upgrades. (So sez a PS Store leak of the game.)

I'm guessing it reads funny because it's a machine translation.

I'm not bothered by it, but I don't like it. In a boardroom, somewhere at Sony HQ...

'It looks better in black, Keith'
'Yeah, but we've got a strawberry float load of blue cases sitting in a warehouse...'
'Now you mention it, I think it looks better in blue.'

I generally can’t believe that aren’t going to use a clear or white box. Someone must of put in huge orders for blue boxes from the PS4 gen and need to get rid of them.

For a company focused on design it looks weird

If that were the case, that they had a surplus, then yeah, why not? Might as well use 'em. It's not as though white and blue clash.

White just looks a bit cheap because it looks more printed-at-home. Should save CEX on ink costs at least

A bit off topic here but that's just reminded me that I still haven't watched Into the Spiderverse.

Should've gone with a black case as that would look better with the white
