A bit off topic here but that's just reminded me that I still haven't watched Into the Spiderverse.

I watched it the other day, and it is superb.

I see there's some talk that price and release date may get unveiled today?

Yeah. A chap who correctly guessed the date of the previous PS5 event said we'd get the price today.

Does this mean using PS3 discs will be a thing? Because I have a few PS3 games I would love to revisit one day.

Wonder if we do get a price it’ll be announced at 9pm? Same time as the games show was.

Amazon Germany is listing the weight of Sony's PlayStation 5 as 10.54 pounds (4.78kg), making it almost as heavy as the PlayStation 3 which weighed in at a whopping 11 pounds (5kg).

In comparison Sony's current PS4 weighs 6.17 pounds (2.8kg) and the PS4 Pro is 7.3 pounds (3.3kg).

Microsoft's Xbox Series X meanwhile weighs in at 9.81 pounds (4.45kg). The Xbox One X is 8.4 pounds (3.81kg) and the original Xbox in 2001 was 8.5 pounds (3.86kg)

Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a power adapter which costs £475.

I wonder if they're waiting for all they're big 2020 games to come out before announcing the price so people buy those without realising they'll have to remortgage their house to pay for a PS5.

strawberry float knows what MS are waiting for.

Time for adventure

I honestly think they’re waiting for each other so they’re stuck in stalemate.

Microsoft has to be cheaper, whereas Sony can be more expensive but doesn’t want to be massively so.

You know what I'd really love?
An old fashioned Megapack with an extra controller and a butload of games all featured on the box.
Propper games in cases as well not just crappy download codes so you have a bunch of stuff to open on day 1.

That'd be the stuff  .

Have a flipping pointlessly massive box with awesome art on it as well with maybe a huge manual about the OS which nobody will ever read.

Oh, yeah!

I actually loved reading all the instruction manuals you got with new consoles and games

Not surprised in the slightest the price wasn’t announced yesterday anyway, Sony and Microsoft are both just playing a huge game of chicken about it. Hopefully we’ll get something in August re the pricing of them both.

As someone who spends most of their working time creating instruction manuals, it's always nice to have people say they never read them.

I always used to read the instruction manuals on the train or bus on the way home. The anticipation. :datass:

I still remember sitting on a bus and some bloke (probably late 20s) got on and he’d just bought Alone in the Dark The New Nightmare on PS1 along with the Prima guide and I kept glancing over to see what he was reading.
