I think the original announcement with the list of non-compat games left wiggle room when it comes to other games not being fully BC.

Hopefully just an anomaly and not the beginning of a wider trend of PS4 games either being broken or not working at all. A lot of people will have now sold off their PS4 so it’s a bit bad to be announcing stuff like this a few weeks out.

I read somewhere that there are some surprises but in a good way. I believe they can tell us more after 6th of November.

Got £150 for mine last week, I thought it'd be a good idea to do it before the rush when the PS5 arrives.

This was for the "Player Edition" with two controllers, the camera and Killzone incidentally, before anyone with an unsold PS4 gets too excited.

I sold my PS4 Pro for £218.99 + £9.99 postage + 5 games to add value with a £1 selling fee on eBay. I'm thinking I will sell my PS3 slim now to totally streamline.

I want to sell my PS4 Pro (white, less than a year old, in immaculate condition) but it sounds like a jet engine when you play almost any game. Feels like a recipe for disaster to sell it on eBay, to be honest.

Tony, as long as it's legit working then you're not doing anything wrong, the noise is just a 'feature' of the PS4 Pro! Have you got an eBay account? Today they offered me the £1 selling fee again, meaning you only pay £1 commission. Buyers of expensive equipment want to be reassured so I take loads of photos, I give a full personally written description explaining how I care for my equipment, and include courier with insurance and it helps to sell it.

Edit: that UX leak! I wonder if it's an international reporter or he's just manage to acquire it. I can't work out what language he's speaking because he's barely pronouncing words. Spanish?

Cheers for the advice! Yes, I have an account with 100% feedback over 800. It's a good point about the fees - I'll see if I've been offered the same, although I've been selling plenty of 4k Blu Rays recently and haven't had any offers.

I suppose I just wonder whether i'll get the buyer who says 'it's faulty as it makes a loud noise!' :)

I sold both my white PS4 Pro (£200, sans controller) and Xbox One X (£192) on eBay a few weeks ago though I made sure to record packaging it up and then shipped both off Special Delivery. Not the cheap option by any means but I’m always wary selling hardware on eBay, even when you limit who can purchase (Buy It Now, immediate payment, blocking those with poor prior feedback and no PayPal account).

No worries. A person who buys it won't know what's normal. I take the precautions KK said, Buy it Now always, plus I state that I offer 'no refunds, the item is fully working so please be sure you want it.' Also, I say the 'serial number number is recorded for security purposes' just in case there is muppet who thinks they're clever and tries to switch the a purchase with a faulty unit, then I will have proof. Also for my Pro which was a surprise sale it was a bastard finding a box! My friendly Asian run shop always give me boxes- if it's the right day of the week otherwise they throw everything away. So I went hunting, went past a Polish shop that had a big delivery and they kind enough to sort me out. So the moral of the story is get your box sorted ASAP!

So someone on Reset has done some digging on the PlayStation library website and it seems to have some information in the code relating to what games are compatible with PS5.

https://www.reset%20era.com/threads/on-the-subject-of-ps5-bc-compatibility-current-listings-from-sony-api-compatible-bootable-not-compatible.316441/

Going by the data, these are the stats

Bootable: 388
Not Compatible: 144
N/A: 2087
Compatible: 12,721

It seems Bootable may mean it will play but may have some some glitches or bugs. This is by no means a final list and they could release more patches before launch to increase compatibility but I’m kinda regretting selling my PS4

I wouldn't worry about it, I think most games you'll actually want to replay will be compatible.

Ubisoft is a major publisher with resources to match. It should put some people in making the mainline AC games, their biggest games, compatible.

So, further info, the PlayStation store mentions

A bootable games store page says:
"When playing on PS5, this game may exhibit errors or unexpected behaviour and some features available on PS4 may be absent. To play this game on PS5, your system may need to be updated to the latest system software. See PlayStation.com/bc for more details."

A compatible games store page says:
To play this game on PS5, your system may need to be updated to the latest system software. Although this game is playable on PS5, some features available on PS4 may be absent. See PlayStation.com/bc for more details.

So, at the moment, 388 games fall under the ‘bootable’ category including these games

Assetto Corsa
Assasin's Creed Unity
Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition
Arkham City
Mafia III: Definitive Edition
Prey
CoD: Infinite Warfate
CoD: BLOPs 4
The Surge
Hellblade
NBA 2K 2020

I hope these get updated before launch, stuff like Sleeping Dogs and the Batman games are ones I would like to play again.

Isn't it Black Ops 3 in the plus collection?

Oh yeah so it is, I blame the tiny Playstation blog font.

So Ubisoft has removed the post apparently, citing inaccuracies. Not sure what's going on here.
