Replaying Fallen Order on the PS5.

The loading is a godsend now.

Does it run at 60fps? I'm tempted to finally get it myself.

There’s an option to switch it on to performance mode, which runs at a fixed 60FPS 1080p.

Same as Series X then which I've been playing it but still keeping it in 4K/30 :shifty:

I think there will be games where the PS5 may inch ahead but the XSX will be the better platform overall.

I don't think it looks great, but I also don't feel it's the abomination that it looks like in photos.

I really wish it had a ps2 style full colour PS logo on the front though.

I think it looks ok, although it is very large. But no matter what angle I look at it from, it looks like it’s falling over!

Did you try to wangle a new pad?

No I haven’t (yet). I’ve tried PlayStation support but I gave up after being in a queue for just under an hour. I got a new pad easily from Amazon, so to be honest I’m not too desperate, but I will see if it can be repaired by PlayStation if possible.

I don’t think it will be, i can see PS5 still being used by devs as the lead platform so a majority of the games will either be equal or slightly better on PS5. Also, I think the dualsense (if used well) could put the PS5 versions in front adding more immersive features to games.

Got to say, I'm really happy with my PS5 now. I don't play games online all that often, so when they talked about all the UI stuff "treating your time as valuable" that seemed like a lot of guff. But it genuinely makes sense - the way you can switch between games quickly, the cards, the fact that (for instance) I got told someone had beaten my Mountain Run time on Astro's Playroom (which isn't difficult), and with a press of a button, I was attempting to get the record (between friends) back less than ten seconds later.

Now watch all this stuff get underused, particularly on multi-format titles, a bit like the speaker in the DualShock4 was after the initial wave of games.

Just noticed that Dead By Daylight has uninstalled itself. First time it's happened to me but I thought they already fixed that issue? :(

I had it similar with Modern Warfare and it said that some data packs were missing so I had to re-downloaded them again. :fp:
