If I haven't got to remortgage my house and sell one of my kids in order to be able to afford the new PS5 and show my support as a true gamer then there is clearly something wrong with the world.

I could see it probably costing about £500, but for me it'll be all about the games the thing could be the most powerful console out there but if the launch titles are all early 2020 games, I'll wait a year or so for the more better titles.
Could we see a Horizon sequel at launch?

Bluepoint working on a “big” PS5 title. Wonder what that could be.

Given the demand you would think it's possibly Demons Souls remastered.

Could be something else though. MGS4 would be nice with a tart up.

I have a huge pile of PS4 games to get through, and jumping on the PS5 will likely happen earlier for me if I can carry my unplayed library with me.

Mark Cerny confirmed it in the Wired interview he had earlier this year.

There's gonna be one heck of a battle between Sony and Microsoft in the run-up to launch! I just hope that there's a really close fight so that, in terms of features and pricing, we gamers are the winners!

Combined with an improved speaker on the controller, the haptics can enable some astonishing effects. First, I play through a series of short demos, courtesy of the same Japan Studio team that designed PlayStation VR's Astro Bot Rescue Mission. In the most impressive, I ran a character through a platform level featuring a number of different surfaces, all of which gave distinct—and surprisingly immersive—tactile experiences. Sand felt slow and sloggy; mud felt slow and soggy. On ice, a high-frequency response made the thumbsticks really feel like my character was gliding. Jumping into a pool, I got a sense of the resistance of the water; on a wooden bridge, a bouncy sensation.

This is the kind of sh*t I live for  Sounds amazing.

I hope that Bluepoint game is a launch title!

All the cool kids predicted Christmas 2020.

£400 seems like a safe bet but I could see £450 too. Having a good launch lineup I think is more important than price though.

How much can we hope a PS4 Pro can be traded in for around Christmas 2020 (if BC is good)?

I really hope PS5 keeps the devkit look. Tired of the conservative designs!

Yeah the last generation of consoles, bar the Switch, was just utterly forgettable boxes.

I miss the days of iconic console designs.

Full BC with PS4 games is what will lean me into buying the system closer to launch. If they cannot guarantee full compatibility then I’ll hold off.

It's been pretty obvious that it was going to be next Christmas for about a year now.
I think the real shock would have been if they decided to wait for another year.

Sounds like it’s going to be a big jump from PS4-5.....quite excited to see what some of the first party studios do with this tech!
