This is to do with their plan to make PlayStation Now/Streaming available on as many devices as possible.
This could affect how I game next-gen.
Currently the big AAA critically acclaimed games I buy physically and keep (I have similar collections for other platforms), I like a physical collection for great games just as I do with movies (I have a Blu-ray collection of films spanning 6 decades).
Smaller titles I just wait until they're on PS+/PS Noe, download or stream them then delete them. I buy a few from CEX too for like £5 then trade them after completing. This is similar to how I regard movies I don't seem as classics, I stream them on Amazon/Netflix but they're just throwaway to me really.
Going forward if the streaming service becomes available on our smart TV in the bedroom I might consider moving away from physical completely, but right now I'm reluctant to.
