You can still pre-order digital edition bundles from Game even though it's out of stock on it's own.

Smyth's are now showing out of stock for both versions.

Amazon is going to be chaos because I bet a lot of people went to bed trusting the 'it'll go Live from 8am Thursday' message from GAME and Sony and they're going to wake to find it's sold out already.

Got my pre-order in through Game. I was still on the fence between XB and PS but Spider-Man and Demon Souls are two games at launch that I want to play, while XB doesn't have anything I really want.

Looking forward to it.

I bought PS2, PS3 and PS4 at launch. Undecided as to whether I'll do it this time, although I will definitely jump in not too long after that if I don't.

For anyone who skipped PS4 or didn't buy many games during that time, the Plus Collection makes the package something of a bargain. I own about half the games from that but, erm, they're the half I really wanted. Although I've never played God of War and probably should.

I must have gotten one of the last ones as I only put it through at 10 past 1. :shock:

That's both cool and scary because I'm probably at the back of the list for the allocation. :dread:

People waiting till the morning don't have a chance.

People will be pre ordering at multiple places and flogging them or dropping them as launch approaches. The remote and camera versions are gone now as well.

Yep, I'm awake at 5 as I thought I'd get in "early". Now finding out that a few places have already sold out.

So I'll be sitting here at 9am, frantically trying to get an order in on Amazon.

I know it's silly but with everything going on in the world all I strawberry floating want is to get a PS5 launch pre-order in. I'll be gutted if I can't get one.

We have always said that we believe in generations. We believe that when you go to all the trouble of creating a next-gen console, that it should include features and benefits that the previous generation does not include. And that, in our view, people should make games that can make the most of those features.

We do believe in generations, and whether it's the DualSense controller, whether it's the 3D audio, whether it's the multiple ways that the SSD can be used... we are thinking that it is time to give the PlayStation community something new, something different, that can really only be enjoyed on PS5.

By no means the first time Sony’s own words have come back to bite them on the arse (see also BC) but what changed this time to cause such a U-turn...if in fact they weren’t just lying at the time and knew these games were also coming to PS4.

I’m sure nobody is buying a PS5 just to play Destruction All Stars.

Absolute joke of system. Why not just announce pre orders are to go live on a set date. Will be trying at 9am but everywhere else has sold out.

This only benefits scalpers, they'll be making money that could go to Sony or game retailers. Utter madness.

Argos have announced Friday for Pre-orders.
