I think the UI looks clean as heck. An evolution of PS4 with much needed improvements and tweaks. Just didn't seem to have much personality compared to past consoles. This looks super snappy and intuitive so far. The integrated shop is smart too.

The UI looks sleek!

Can't wait to have a proper look when I received my PS5.

One of the minor benefits of the PS5 menus being in 4K HDR is that the TV won’t have to change signal inputs for a few seconds and go to black nearly as often (probably only for PS4 titles as most PS5 games will feature HDR implementation), something that has apparently irritated Apple for a number of years due to its unseemly nature.

I have a pretty decent monitor I play on but starting think I need to save up for a 4K HDR display. Tho it's not a huge priority for me right now. Getting good headphones is actually more importnant to me atm lol. People sleeping on next gen audio.

What does everyone think PS5 games will cost in the supermarkets? If £69.99 or there about is the RRP, then I may as well just buy them in person instead of waiting on a delivery.

Never mind that, imagine how much game are going to charge for a used copy :dread:

There's no way it'll be up to date at all. I reckon it'd me several seconds (at least) behind.

Share play has impressively low input lag on PS4. You can use it to play local co-op with a friend online (or to just hand over control entirely for your friend to play), so it's certainly not several seconds behind.

Peter Crisp shareplayed Bloodborne with me ages ago when I was on worse internet and I played up till after beating the Cleric Beast (without dying). It was pretty impressive, the input lag was definitely noticeable but still manageable.

I remember that.
I needed your help as I was just so unbelievably gooseberry fool at the game and kept getting lost  .

A good question. It could be the same price or just a fiver discount.

Most probably it will be £61.99. :slol:

Hey I'd take that! Better than paying full price *and* having to wait for them.

I was in Tesco the other day and the prices for new releases are not any cheaper than what you could get from TheGameCollection so I doubt we will see any significant discounts from them, at least at first

Received a supposedly personalised "Your Book of Dreams" mini catalogue from Argos this morning, and it comes with a voucher for £12 off when you spend £100; or £6 off when you spend £60, plus Nectar points. So that's come in really handy for pe-ordering games!

Something to look out for in the post if you're on their mailing lists.

I'm buying no games at launch. With the Plus Collection, finishing some of my backlog (with Plus specs) and presumably two PS5 games on Plus at launch, that should see me through to the new year. After that, I'd imagine it'll be possible to get games a bit cheaper than £70 a pop through some retailers...

Given that they're giving the Plus Collection away for free/without raising prices, I'll be genuinely surprised if they include 2 PS5 games as well.

I'll be happy with 2 small PS5 games. Even if they're crossgen. The cat one looks nice (though I don't think that one is crossgen), and that one by the Abzu dev.

Aye, there obviously won't be "full" games for ages, but that's fine. The full games that came over time were responsible for my backlog that I'll never clear! PS4 had Resogun at launch, which was more than good enough. Although it is indeed of course possible that the Plus Collection will be all we get on month 1.

As I speak, my PS4 has 15 mins left before the factory reset is complete then I'll be packaging it up for eBay. Feels weird to be getting rid of it but there's not much of a reason to keep it as well as my PS5...
