● The PlayStation 5 Thread - Astro's Playroom sells 10m copies

The PS5 FAQ got updated. VRR will be added in future, and they updated supported audio formats:

PS5 will support the following audio formats:

Dolby Digital (max 5.1ch)
Dolby Digital Plus (max 7.1ch)
Dolby TrueHD (max 7.1ch)
DTS (max 5.1ch)
DTS-HD High Resolution Audio (max 7.1ch)
DTS-HD Master Audio (max 7.1ch)
AAC (max 5.1ch)
Linear PCM (max 7.1ch)
Dolby ATMOS and DTS:X available for Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray disc video (when connected to a supported device)

But for HDR it still only mentions HDR10. For 4K120 they say: Yes, PS5 supports the HDMI 2.1 specification. HDMI 2.1 supports 4K 120Hz, but HDMI 2.1-compatible 4K TVs have not yet fully penetrated the market.

They say that and yet they stuck 4K120 on the bloody box. Along with 8K 'not yet fully market penetrated'

He's on my PS friends list, I was worried as he hadn't been online for a while but he's got a PS5 and was online yesterday.

No grinding! Just a couple more levels or so. But there are trophies DLC and comments made by Sony suggest something is coming soon, hopefully before Christmas. Later today I hope to start Miles Morales.

Had a spare hour to myself so did some training on Mortal Kombat. Even ignoring the new tech, the DualSense is a fantastic controller. Best feeling buttons I think I've ever experienced and the grip is so comfortable.

Having an issue playing Batman: Return to Arkham

I put the disc in and it seems to one install Arkham City, when I select Arkham Asylum (via Game Version) it won’t give me the option to copy or play only View Product

Any ideas?

I think I saw Sly Cooper but everytime I go near he pop back into the safe and wouldn’t come out.

Saw Gravity Rush, Crash, Resident Evil, Wipeout, The Last of Us, God Of War, Horizion Zero Dawn, Devil May Cry, Little Big Planet(?), Killzone, Ratchet & Clank, Days Gone, Astrobot VR Spider Boss, Bloodborne, FFVII Cloud’s Sword, Heavy Rain, FFX Yuna(?) TRex Demo(?), Silent Hill 2, Ape Escape and Tearaway.

Try viewing product then install/download it from there via the “...”I had some issues when trying to put the PS5 version (digital) of Miles Morales as only the Remastered and PS4 version appears in my collection. After that, it appears in my collection.

I think the UI is confused with dual format games or a disc with two games on it and only detect one game not two.

Thanks man, it was a bit weird having a new PS5 in the house and not wanting to play it for a couple of days.
Tried DS more now too, I keep healing myself when I'm supposed to be attacking, the last game I played a lot of was GoT, so that probably explains it.

This is weird as the Batman collection is 2 discs but it seemed to pick up I put the Arkham City disc in when it was actually Asylum.

Deleted it and installed both again and it’s fine. Arkham City does pop up a notification saying it may have some issues playing it on PS5, will try it later and see if I spot anything

Just had dirt 5 crash on me, then the ps5 auto deleted my save data due to corruption. I've lost my entire progress

No, it uploaded the new one when the game restarted

Letting early adopters beta test new consoles FTW.

I'm not attaching the hard drive I had with my PS4 until I'm certain all is good on that front. Tempted to format it then download the new games from the Plus Collection, I think I've "purchased" six or seven of them.
