I would have bloody loved one of these off Santa

Every time I turn my TV on, the PS5 turns on too and puts on that HDMI channel.

Any ideas on how to turn that off? I don’t mind it turning on the TV when I put the console on, but it’s a pain that it does it the other way when we just want to use the Sky box for example.

I'm sure there is an option to turn off in the settings.

Device Link - you may need to check it in the settings.

In the “System” menu select “HDMI” on the left tab.
Here, you will see the “Enable HDMI Device Link” option. This option is enabled if you see the circle to the right of the wording is solid white. If it is, select “Enable HDMI Device Link” to make the circle transparent and, thus, disabling this feature.

Anyone still having the issue when you put the disc in it installs the whole game and patches again? We've had it with fifa 21 here. Took the disc out to play Demons Souls and when we went back to fifa it was installing it all again.

Is there a fix?

This worked for me...Either disconnect from the internet or pause the patch download while the disk is installing. Then download/install the patch once the disk is FULLY installed.

No? I have FIFA 21 and never had this issue, do you have the PS5 version or PS4 disc?

I though the update fixed this?

I used to have that issue, I had to re install a couple of times. Then let the pacth download and then I played the game so I save game was created.

I still have a hot of an issue with Miles as it says there is an update to download but when I click to download nothing is there.

Ironically I just went to ay Miles on PS5 and it's now reinstalling. Also downloading the patch to take it to 1.007.001. Hopefully that fixes this. Really poor quality control by Sony with these issues.

It's the PS4 disc version.

Seems to be fixed now after deleting and reinstalling. Hmmmm.

Just had my first hard crash whilst playing Miles Morales. Game completely locked up and there was no response to pad input, then I just got a high pitched noise coming through the speakers. Power button on the console did nothing, just got 3 quick beeps, though the eject button worked.

Only thing I could do was turn off the power at the wall socket. Fortunately it's turned back on after that and seems to be ok.

I had a rest mode issue this morning, turned it on (with a controller), then it just sat on the 'press the PS button' screen and wouldnt respond to either controller, both plugged in and wireless, like they weren't paired to it. Had to hold the power button and switch it off and on again that way.

And for strawberry float sake, can e not have an option to disable auto installing of discs when you put them in? I'm playing the PS5 version of borderlands 3, from my ps4 disc upgrade so the disc must be in to play, but it always installs the PS4 version (plus patches) in the background, even if i delete it, it does it again. Eats up 60+gb of the SSD doing nothing.

I wish consoles (and most new TVs, actually) still had the power on/off buttons, rather than the rather brutal method of unplugging it from the mains.

Yeah, I’m curious to see how my settings currently differ to these, I’ll give it a go later and see

My boy and I have been playing the FIFA ‘21 ten-hour trial for a bit and as it appeared in the sale I thought I’d pay up and get the game.

That’s fine and it’s downloaded and all that, but I can’t find our previous data - we’ve been playing the career mode and although we’re only about five or six games in I’d quite like to continue it - does anyone know how to do that? I can’t see an option to continue the trial game anywhere!

I've been playing some more on Sackboy A Big Adventure and it's truly neat game to play. So much fun and find all collectibles!

We need to play some co-op soon.
