This might sound really shallow, but that announcer voice might put me off buying this.

I used to feel pumped playing Quake 3 Arena with the gritty soundtrack and announcer, it's completely missing here.

I downloaded the Beta then saw it was MP only. Uninstalled. And nobody is talking about offline bot play being a thing in the final game. My interest in the game has gone from vague to wholly non-existent. Looks like a game I most definitely would not enjoy. Oh well.

It's old school and I love it. Fast, Frenetic and mental. Buying it off the strength of this.

(Would prefer Q3A announcer tho)

Playing on PS4.
Last night was fine; tonight I have a weird glitch going on that stops me from cycling through any menus. D-pad and sticks all functioning normally until I boot up the beta. Absolutely bizarre.

Game itself is a bit underwhelming. Only played a couple of games, but guns lack punch and the numbers that fly off people you hit to signify damage pull you out of the experience IMO.

Had a couple of games this morning, its ok nothing special but then I seem to have gone off MP as I'm getting older :dread:

And I will be going back for a spot of Halo, trying to make it as soon as possible and working out how I tell the other half I'd like an Xbone next to the PS4 (you know, cause there's space :shifty:

You did indeed, better than I faired. I'd recommend Halo 5 mp over Halo MCC. Both are still popular but 5 with all the added free DLC is vast.

Doom Open Beta 15th-18th April.

As for DLC, Bethesda will be updating both the multiplayer and user creation mode, SnapMap with free content, including new game modes, AI enhancements and map modules.

Three paid packs of DLC will also be offered, each priced at $14.99 / £11.99 / €14.99. The first has been (fairly vaguely) detailed, and will include:

Three new maps
One new weapon
One new playable demon
One new armour set
One new piece of equipment
New hack modules and taunts
New customization colours and patterns

A Season Pass will be offered, comprising all the paid content, for $39.99 / £29.99 / €39.99.

Doom will be released for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on May 13.

Y'know, this may be a case of the straw that broke the camel's back, but... I'm getting utterly pissed off with season passes. Nearly every game is getting them now and it means that, to get the complete game, you are asked to pay around £80.
