What's up with Nintendo's random expiry dates for codes. Just going through my game cases and found one for DKCR which expires 01/05/2016, one for Pokemon X which expires 12/04/2017, and one for Pokemon OR which expired 31/03/2015

I think you already answered that one yourself.

I think the older games had long expiry dates as standard practice. Everything that was published after the decision to shut down Club Nintendo was given a short expiry.

It's a set period of time after the game launched (or, more specifically, after the date at which your copy was printed since reprints extend the date) for most games. It might be four or five years, you can probably figure out it by comparing the expiry date to when the game launched. However once they realised Club Nintendo was closing, a lot of recent games (from around Summer last year, iirc) got the 31/03/2015 date instead because that's when Club Nintendo would close.

EDIT - Basically what Tineash said, yeah.

Anybody wanna do a coaster swap? Trade one of one design for one of another? I can only afford one set.

Why on earth are Nintendo only putting gooseberry fool worth having on the catalogue 6 months after they told everyone to use their stars because they're getting rid of them.

It's so strawberry floating Nintendo :fp:
