Is it best to start this on normal or hard?

Thought normal was meant to be a bit easy.

Little FYI when the credits roll that’s not the end of the game, there’s another 60 hours left.

Does the story conclude on those credits and then the next part is post game?

I didn't choose a difficulty, you either play it as is or I think you make it harder by added Draconian extra's? I think they need to be selected as soon as you begin and if you remove them when you start you can't get them back again.

You can have an ending with the credits, but the story continues and the post credit story is better than the pre credits. It’s basically act 1 and act 2.

I loved playing this game, despite the various criticisms. I've not played enough RPGs to be tired of the formula. I think I was about 80 hours in - them something else distracted me and I didn't go back, always determined that I would. But now I wonder how on earth I would remember what was going on and what I was supposed to do after all this time. I'm going to have to try getting back into it soon.

]I've been playing this fairly regularly since April. It's easy to play and the episodic nature of the plot, coupled with the handy recaps ywhen you boot up your save, means it's a comfortable title to pick up here and there. I've plodded along over nearly six months but never felt massively engrossed or hooked on it.

Part of this is possibly my own fault - I'm over-levelled after some unintentional grinding and exploration early doors, so I've put battles on auto and let the AI handle my party whilst I watch an episode of Taskmaster.

The other part is how the plot is fairly meandering. Some of the episodic stories are stronger than others (the mermaid one being a popular highlight). The game is hardly the most involving - you can't affect the plot, the battle system is not the most intricate and the writing is a bit basic).

Saying that, I am now up to Act 3. I am quite surprised that there are 60 hours left, as it doesn't seem like there's enough story to warrant that.

I actually just did the Mermaid section last night

I am enjoying this but same for me where I’m not massively invested in it to a point I’m playing it every moment I can. It’s just a nice game to pick up and put more time into once a week or so I find.

I had some trouble with the Tentacular boss, my main 4 party members got wiped out so the remaining others came in and I just scrapped through (I’ve not bothered putting much time into organising the equipment for the back up members so I’ll need to do that in case it happens again)

I sort of wish the enemies would show what level they are so I know if i’m over/under levelled but it’s a minor issue. I’ve not actually tried putting all my characters to auto battle yet (Only one I control is hero, rest are on auto with different tactics) so I might try that at some point as the battles are not massively interesting anyway.

Is the Casino worth spending time in? I see they have some decent weapons but are they worth investing time into getting the tokens?

30 hours in at this point, just reached Sniflheim hunting the next orb, guessing this is still classed as Act One
