If you've only just reached that place, you've just hit the end of Act I. You've got half a game left, at least. ;)

That's the best news I've had in ages :msgreen: Thanks!

If I may, NBK: at what point did the game 'click' for you? How long had you been playing, and where had you got to? And what was it that made it click? I ask as someone who's just finished the second dungeon and has almost given up, and is looking for inspiration to keep going.

It clicked with me when I got the old man and girl in green. The Spanish sounding guy made it more enjoyable as well. I found it very slow going at the start (very slow! Hated it when it was just Eric and MC) and while I didn't beat the proper boss, I really enjoyed the main story and dungeons. I would recommend you stick with it for a while yet. One of the side missions will break your heart :(

Okay, sounds good! (Or rather, doesn’t sound good, I’d love to be able to bench a game I have to be able to get through more of my backlog...) Does the battle system improve at all? At the moment it’s the dullest turn-based nonsense I’ve ever sat through.

You can increase the battle speed in the settings and it gods by a lot quicker, if you haven't already. It never really "improves", though.

I’ve already done that. :( Cheers Frank and Saint. I think the cookie-cutter combat and erroneously expansive environments (that are mostly full of nothing) might keep this game down the pile for me, even if the story eventually gets good...

I really enjoyed this up to a point that point being the first ending. Until then I had been pretty overpowered and was coasting through the game for the most part but it quickly turned into a grind heavy chore. I may go back and finish it properly some day as it seems a shame to put 128 hours into a game but not actually beat it.

I can't really pinpoint it exactly, sorry. I realised pretty early on that it was just the sort of easy going game that I was after, and I loved the cartoon style, music and characters from the start. I was also more than happy with the battle style as it meant I could just take it easy with that, rather than trying to learn any complex mechanics.

The kids certainly got more interested when Veronica and Serena ("the twins") turned up, and the later characters have become firm favourites.

I can see why some might find it quite pedestrian, but it was (is) pretty much all my brain can handle at the moment! Hope you're able to get into it more eventually.

Is that the Mermaid bit? That was well heavy, along with when Rab and Hero make it so all the lost souls can return to Yggdrasil.

Aye, that's the one. I don't remember the second one (my memory, I swear ), but there are multiple moments where the game packs an emotional punch. But that first one got me good and proper.

Hit another one earlier with the end of Erik's section post the fall of Yggdrasil. I like what they're doing with the separate mini-chapters for each character, on to Rab's one next.

Oh, and that other bit I mentioned was just after Rab finds out who Hero is, it's all the souls from Dundrasil going back to Yggdrasil in 'Leaf Form'. Looked like a big load of butterflies, was quite a pretty shot actually.

Just picked this up on Switch, £34.99 in GAME but had some points so knocked it down to about £33.50.

Look forward to getting stuck into it soon

Got a similar deal a couple of weeks ago and have been having a blast with it. There is some free item DLC on the eShop too.

Nice one, it was that price on the GAME site during the Xmas sale but went back up when it ended. It’s always worth checking the stores when this happens as, from my experience, they tend to forget to remove the sale price when it’s a game that’s tucked away on a shelf.
