He says on twitter
#MadeInDreams - created a visual copy of @minecraft by @mojang, in my best attempts to emulate it within the engine I’m pretty sure I’ve finally gone insane

MATTE. - MUSIC & EQ VISUALIZATION. working on a mini passion project involving some music I’ve created w/ some of my more recent transitions with style - here’s a minimalistic EQ along with this new track I hope you like!

And this one NickSCFC posted previously but I share again for Disarmed's comments
it’s honestly mind-blowing what can be achieved within @mediamolecule upcoming creative IP - DREAMS. here’s some of the things I’ve created running realtime, in motion on this amazing platform. don’t underestimate this game!

Not sure I'll create myself, but I'm excited to see what people come up with.

This. Perhaps if I didn't have to work and didn't have a wife and kids I might have the time, but that is not the case.

It doesn't matter, just play what others have made.

Just buy it now, there are already multiple little games worth playing.

I don't have the time at the moment, too busy with other games. If I'm going to get into it I may as well wait for the full release, rather than playing it now and missing out on the full-featured game (as with almost every game, I'm likely to play it lots then move on rather than keep going back to it).

I've quite enough in back catalogue without adding to it with games that are a 30 second novelty

Most games are quite short, but some are already extremely well made, there is clearly a lot talent in the community and longer experiences are already in the works, but fair enough.

Just from browsing reddit I think the creative output is already starting to stagnate. I've not seen anything particularly noteworthy for a while now. Maybe we're just in the lull before a bunch of longer experiences come out but I don't see much evidence of that being the case.

It really doesn't help that the functionality to browse is strawberry floating terrible.

If you're not interested in making use of the creation tools I'd advise against jumping in now. There's a reason it's in early access.
Yes, the creation tools are basically ready (aside from the occasional bug), but there's no game, the search and discovery tools are (as Cap said above) pretty garbage at the moment (though they did finally fix the recommended category so it's not always showing the same things) and there really isn't that much worthwhile user stuff to play (it's only been a few weeks after all).

That's why (at least partially) it's in early access: so that the people who are interested in creating games and experiences (or just characters, music, sculpture, mechanisms, etc) have time to get used to the tools and make stuff before the game's full release.

Agreed, early Access isn't just for beta testing, it's to ensure there's enough interesting content available for general release.

https://www.gameinformer.com/review/dre ... on-to-life

9.5/10

More than any developer, Media Molecule has been driven by a singular goal: to empower players to make and share their own games. LittleBigPlanet focused this concept on the 2D platformer, but clever players spent years devising ways to stretch and twist their creations beyond the genre’s confines. With the release of Dreams, Media Molecule obliterates those confines completely, giving players a broad and flexible suite of development tools to create whatever their hearts desire. Dreams may not strictly be a game, but the tools are easy and intuitive enough to make the creation process fun for everyone, which delivers a wealth of entertaining experiences noncreators can enjoy.

I just don't see how you can give it those kind of scores at the moment. Also saying the creation process is fun for everyone is an insane leap.

Flip, that looks incredible.
Definitely getting a PS4 instead of PS2/PS3. This game is the natural evolution of what Little Big Planet did during the PS3 era.

It’s not fun to play, at all.

Which is the problem with Dreams as a whole. It takes an a lot of work and dedication and someone quite talented with the game’s mechanics to ultimately make something not very good.
