This, I have tried it in the past, it just doesn't intrest me how many times they strawberry floating shot that scene and what lenses they were using.

Ones with a bit of banter going on are good. The ones where they get the boring SFX guy to explain everything in boring detail suck.

I've never listened to one. I always think "I may as well just watch the film". I really should listen to some though.

You've already mentioned Spaced, and the cast commentaries on the Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz discs are also very funny.

They have commentaries?! strawberry float, I'll have to watch them!

Never watched one. They don't appeal to me in the slightest.

I always listen to commentaries on 2nd viewing of a film.

The Deer Hunter has a good commentary, it really makes you understand and appreciate the film much more.

Never bothered.

I've always assumed that they would annoy me... even if I had already watched the show/film before!

I do however always watch deleted scenes and outtakes, provided that the first 2 that I watch make me laugh/release some other measure of enjoyment sound.

I listen to some of the ones on The Simpsons dvd box sets, mainly hoping that John Schwartzwelder has decided to do one.

I tend to listen to commentaries for films I really like or ones where they talk lots about the process of making the movie. As someone mentioned before the Rodriquez commentaries are usually good though I always love the 5 min film school features that also appear on his disks.

If I'm tired or not in the mood I usually skip to the end or to specific scenes I'm interested in to hear what the director had to say about them.

I have watched the Dodgeball Commentary with Vince Vaughen and Ben Stiller - very funny!

The only other one I have watched is Shrek which is very interesting to say the least!
