I predict the games industry collapsing in on itself as share prices plummet after E3.

Another gaming crash would be well welcomed, personally.

New better developers will rise from the ashes of the old ones. Have the slate wiped clean.

That does sound good. A new era of gaming, with new major players, new mascots, new legendary studios and IPs just waiting to be founded on the ashes of what came before.

I'm looking forward to the microsoft conference being a repeat of the XBone reveal - total indignant silence at expected applause points, with the only applause/cheering coming from strategically placed MS staff.

All XBone games to be £5 and come with a complimentary can of Irn-Bru and a pack of Jaffacakes.

MS will be bringing in the latest in buy now pay later. Sign up for an XBone and they will take a set amount right out of your dole money.

Nintendo will announce during their conference that those who participated in their recent free game deal and wanted Animal Crossing will be able to download New Leaf RIGHT THERE AND THEN  :shifty:

During Microsoft's conference Hideo Kojima is joined on-stage by Kiefer Sutherland, as they discuss The Phantom Pain someone dressed as Solid Snake sneaks behind them and chokes both to death at once before revealing himself to be none other than David Hayter! "Kept you waiting huh?" 8-)

A lot of third party games you'd expect to be shown as multi-format will only be shown on the Xbone:

Microsoft Paying Third-Party Publishers to Not Show PS4 Games at E3 2013 – Report

Microsoft is allegedly paying many third-party publishers so that they won't show off their PlayStation 4 games at E3 2013, according to a new report.

E3 2013, the most important games convention out there, is set to begin next week, and both Microsoft and Sony are expected to focus heavily on their next-gen consoles, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, respectively.

In order to gain the upper hand on Sony, Microsoft is apparently resorting to some unorthodox practices, like paying a lot of money to third-party publishers so that they won't show their PlayStation 4 games either on stage or at their actual booths.

The report arrives from a source on NeoGAF, which posted a lot of true rumors in the past, so it's possible that Microsoft really is resorting to such tactics ahead of E3 2013.

The company emphasized that at the event it's going to focus only on games for the Xbox One, so it could try to create a false sense that more games are coming to Xbox One than PS4.

why are you surprised about that. It's a tactic that MS used a lot in other areas of their operations, especially the PC software market.

I thought that's essentially what they all do anyway - pay money for exclusive content, e.g. why Call of Duty is always shown at the Xbox conference and not the Sony one.

Everyone does it. I read somewhere on GAF that a game was going to be shown at this years Sony E3 conference. MS then outbid them to get it shown at their conference. Sony then outbid them to get it back on their conference. All to get that non-exclusive game associated with their console.

It would be fun working for those companies wouldn't it? It would be like playing monopoly when E3 comes around.
