Disappointments.
And hopefully....
(Some of these predictions could be total bull)
SonyThe Last Guardian: No doubt a PS4 title now, but I wouldn't too surprised if we saw some sort of PS3 version either way Just strawberry floating show something Sony.
Uncharted PS4: There'll be a lenghty gameplay demo of this.
Crash Bandicoot: A download only remake.
The Last of Us 2: I reckon Sony will end the show with the slightest tease that a sequel is in the works. No gameplay shown.
I'm not going to mention any of the supposed 'leaked' games list here, although I am hoping
some of the games on there make an appearance at the show. Sony have the players, but the players need more games.
I also expect a good chunk of the show to be about VR games, which I can't see translating well to a conference.
MicrosoftWith Phil now in charge I'm expecting great things from MS' conference. They've already got the kinect-less X1 announcement out in the open so I'm hoping they'll keep things open and honest with us.
On the games front I'm hoping for....
Perfect Dark: On one hand I don't want any more butchering of poor Joanna, but I would like to see a new PD game that's in a direction akin to the N64 title.
Crackdown: Very easy this one, take the first games formula and increase everything a tenfold. I reckon we'll at least get a tease.
PGR: The X1's version of Driveclub. Huge online implantation, uses the cloud and the kitchen sink.
Splinter Cell: Building on what Blacklist offered, there'll be all sorts of futuristic next gen gadgets to play around with. Huge online, not just Spies v Mercs.
We may well see a VR unit for XB1, but I have a feeling Phil will want all the attention on games for this show, so I'd expect a VR unit announced at another show.
NintendoWouldn't be surprised to see new hardware. I reckon there'll be a new version of the DS, not a major overhaul. I also predict they'll hint at a new home console, nothing shown as they need to still show support for Wii U but definitely some future talk. Nintendo can easily win E3, at least among us forum users if they'd just give us more games from our favourite Nintendo franchises. I'm not going to torture myself making a list of F-zero's and Metroids, because frankly Nintendo have been right bastards the past few E3's.
And one more prediction/hope....
Half-Life 3 with Oculus/Morpheus/Neo/Trinity support.
