If that had MS in the sentence it’d be the opposite but with good reason. I do think Sony are coasting a little tho. I don’t think MS have any major surprises this year as the new studio is only starting and Playgrounds expansion for Fable 4 is new.

My expectations are low. I think I rated MS 7/10 last year but most of that was about the X, can’t see it being bettered this year tbh.

Yeah it would be, it's amazing just how things seem to have changed the past couple of generations between the two, Microsoft aced it with the 360 (although the PS3 did a much better job of catching up than the Xbox One is doing. I guess it'd be with good reason as well due to their lack of must have exclusives this generation? Honestly I don't think there is one exclusive that'd have made me go out and buy my own Xbox One, not one that I can remember anyway.

Not really interested in anything this year, I guess knowing what’s coming to PS4 and that it’s at the end of its life cycle makes it hard for me to give a crap.

I guess I’ll watch the Nintendo direct as it’s at a decent time.

I'll watch all 3 main ones

Sony's deep dive would otherwise frustrate me, but all 4 titles are on my wanted list, and hopefully we'll see new third party titles too.

Nintendo I'm not expecting much other than finally seeing footage of Metroid Prime 4.

Microsoft, I just want to see that Cyberpunk footage, which will no doubt be all over YouTube before the show ends anyway.

I doubt that I'll be able to watch any of them live but it's probably for the best given that most of them can be greatly condensed. The Nintendo Direct, Treehouse and PC Gaming Show are my most anticipated parts of E3 but I'm interested in seeing what else pops up in the other shows. Bethesda and Ubisoft have delivered some great titles over the years (that I still need to get around to playing  ) and I'm keen to find out about Square's Avengers game.

It’s a weird year as we know Microsoft and Sony are winding down on the current gen and will be prepping new machines.

I think we will get yet another Halo out of Microsoft for XBO to end the latest trilogy, I think we know all the big exclusive stuff for PS4 now (could see the rumoured Syphon Filter Bluepoint remake I guess)

With Nintendo though they are into the second year of its console now and they need to get momentum going after a slight lull the first few months of 2018

Checked my shifts for next Tuesday and I'm off! At least that means I'll get to watch Nintendo's and then some of the Treehouse live content.

Nintendo's E3 2018 Direct and Treehouse will feature Switch games only :)

Thank strawberry float. No person with any actual sense wants to see 3DS games.

Nintendo have never been good at juggling two platforms.

Hopefully we'll see sequels to traditional GBA/DS/3DS franchises like Ace Attorney, Professor Layton and 2D Zelda for the Switch.

I'm guessing the Treehouse will probably touch upon some 3DS games. I'll be leaving that on in the background through out the evening as usual. Never know what they'll suddenly throw at you.

I don't get the hate for 3DS  . Sure, it's an old format now and tech has moved on a lot, but that doesn't mean there can't still be cool games for it (witness Ever Oasis and Monster Hunter Stories laast summer).

But, yeah, I think that focusing the main presentation on Switch and then including 3DS stuff in the Treehouse is a great approach. The Treehouse is just ace  .

3DS still being supported means that Switch doesn't get fully supported.

TBH, playing on tiny little screens is not for me, I have in the past, but as my TV's got bigger the smaller screens seemed more gooseberry fool. I don't even bother with the Switch undocked and wish it wasn't a hybrid and it was a more powerful home console as the portability has been lost on me.

Pokémon Let's Go is going to be playable apparently. Should get a lot more feedback on it.

I'm tuning into EA's conference despite feeling it won't have much for me to be interested in. If they keep it similar to last year, it'll be over in a half-hour with another half-hour of one of their big shooters. Unless they actually have content to show.

The Microsoft conference takes third place in the interest rating, as it'll hopefully show off Forza Horizon 4 in a stunning UK backdrop. I'm also interested to see what's become of Crackdown 3 - if it shows.

Square-Enix and Ubisoft have just two games each to interest me, but I'm hoping to see a lot about them. Since the Monday is also the day of the Splatoon 2 World Championships, there's a lot to be watching on this day.

But not as much as Nintendo will deliver with the Direct and Treehouse. This is what I always look forward to since the format change to what it currently is. The Direct offers a great look at what's on offer while the Treehouse deep dives into them. I've pretty much designed an outline of what both could possibly look like - based on past events.

I think I am starting to drown in the hype, but E3 is the only time I ever let that happen, so it's to be expected.

Worth mentioning that Andrea Rene is hosting EA Play so it’s quality just improved 10 fold.

Great news that Pokémon Let's Go is playable, should get a much better idea on what it's actually like to play.
