I'm normally checking the gaming news every day but I have totally missed everything about this! All of a sudden it could well become one of my most anticipated games! I don't think any footage - or anything official - has been released yet, though?

It hasn't even been announced yet. It was supposedly to be announced last E3, but got pulled at the eleventh hour, so I'd put money on it being a shoe-in for this year's event.

Didn't Bethesda tease/hint at a new Doom recently as well?

There was a rumour of Doom II in the works. Happy days if it turns out to be true.

Very, only played Doom for the first time when it launched on Switch but I loved it.

Worth picking up it up for one of the other consoles or PC to fully appreciate it. You can get it for about a tenner on PS4 or Xbox.

Can't a guy enjoy Doom on the Switch without being offered a job? told to buy the "proper" version on every other platform?

I got another prediction:

Microsoft will resurrect the maligned Ryse, and it'll be much closer in tone and appearance to God of War. There'll be a For Honor-esque online mode, a Battle Royale-style online mode, and the singleplayer story will span Roman and Egyptian mythologies as the player goes from humble Barbarian soldier working for Roman citizenship, to a divine nuisance. People will deride it for its many obvious influences, and be skeptical of it having multiple mythological focuses (too many cooks, etc), but it'll be a visual feast.

Star Wars X Wing VR

I mean presumably not but it'd be amazing.

Respawn's working on something Star Warsy, maybe it's that?

If they are I'd presume its not that. It'd almost have to be Criterion making it.

I just hope the Switch gets some Star Wars love. Ideally we'll get another Rogue Squadron game but I think that's a dream at this stage.

As for Doom on PS4 or Xbox One (doubt my PC would handle it even at lower settings) it'll probably be a no as I recall reading the patch size is insane, I'd probably have to wait a day or two to play it  The Switch version holds up alright the the other versions doesn't it? Obviously not as fancy looking and not 60 fps but I had very few complaints when playing it.

Regarding Doom II, last month the senior VP of Bethesda said

Whether or not folks realize it, this is the Hell on Earth time for us with E3.

Given the original Doom II was subtitled Hell on Earth, I think it’s safe to assume it’ll be announced this E3

I wonder if The Division 2 will get any mention as it's only just started development and is not going to be out for a while unless it's just fairly simple upgrade of the first game.

We may have only just heard if it but I wouldn't be surprised if Ubisoft already have had a small team working on The Division 2 , at least to get the ground work moving so they can present a teaser trailer at E3.

I was thinking,is it too early for a wee teaser trailer of resident evil 8?

We can but hope.

Sega announce a slew of details on re-releases from their back catalogue, coming to PC, including the full Yakuza series.

More a hope than a prediction, though.

A port of New Super Mario Bros U has been rumoured for a while now, whilst I would love to see everything on Wii U brought to Switch I fear this would set back a potential Super Mario Maker Deluxe/2 release until at least 2019

It'd love to see Mario Maker 2 on the Switch. I still have reservations about how they'll make up for the lack of a stylus, but the game is so much fun that I really want to see it arrive. The GRcade Mario Maker competitions must continue!
