Splinter Cell - It's time, like really time for a new one. Will be disappointed if it’s open world. It doesn’t have to be open world to be a good game.

Rayman

EA to drain the life out of us all. Like every other year.

Outsourcing Resident Evil 3 remake would be strange to me. Surely you get the Resi 2 remake on it with their engine. But then, it wouldn’t be ready for next year. Seems like they’re trying to get a big Resi game out every year at the moment.

I'm guessing that now the engine, mechanics and a lot of the assets are already in place it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

The main team are probably working on Resi 8.

If it's out next year, then I worry about it as it would be rushed..

I think most of this is accurate minus the Nextbox reveal (too early, predictions are for a tease around Christmas and full reveal next year).

I'm actually looking forward to the Bethesda conference to see how far they think they can push the 'Aw shucks our games are charmingly janky ey?' thing.

I'd agree with that but considering they already announced it last year it would seem odd for them to then completely omit it this year.

Well, I think the point is, it's been outsourced so probably been in development for awhile

Where is this Resi 3 news coming from, I've not even seen confirmation it's happening let alone who is making it.

More on Jedi: Fallen Order is a definite, and it should be good gameplay we'll be seeing. They've done good at cutting the sports content down in previous years, so I suspect this year to be no different - unless there's barely anything to show so they stretch the content out. Need For Speed should be around, I guess.

Whetever Ubisoft brings out, I'm sure it will be good to see. I'm also really expecting another Nintendo collab, since there's been one for the past two years. I wouldn't say no to seeing how they handle F-Zero.

Microsoft could do well to announce another certain next-gen game, but I wonder how far Playground's new game has come along. I don't think Forza Street will have any effect on the main series game showing up and releasing when it usually would.

Nintendo will probably surprise as usual, though there'll be Sword/Shield Direct a week before the main event as usual. That leaves Animal Crossing as a main focus, with Astral Chain, Daemon X Machina, and Luigi's Mansion 3 to be the secondaries. There should certainly be one or two new announcements, but this second half is packed already, so I don't think we'll be seeing anything major unless it's coming next year.

Oh, and the local ice cream man has managed to get a booth this year, as well.

Good point on the Sword/Shield direct being shortly before E3, if they follow previous games/generations of course. That does leave a nice chunk of time in their direct to focus on other games (I would still expect to see a lot of Pokémon in the treehouse segments).

I’m hoping Ubisoft finally say they're going to release the Ezio trilogy on Switch........

Animal Crossing will be given four segments on the Treehouse, Sword/Shield will get two. That's how I think it'll go,anyway.

Most excited for Ubisoft . I really enjoyed last year's E3 and hope to catch a lot of it live again.

Who do we think will get Booed this year?

I'd love a Switch Pro announced with a release date very close by. Death Stranding this year too please. I think Capcom will show more of the monster hunter world expansion, E Honda for SF5 and maybe Darkstalkers. But Power Stone 3 would be amazing. I'd love a Switch advance wars, f zero and Zelda sequel. Also a bloodborne 2 teaser.

I think anthem will get an update of some sorts with a cynical single Yay from the crowds.

Ubi soft will kill it again with a huge Watch Dogs 3 gameplay reveal and also a huge Beyond good and Evil gameplay reveal. Also I'd expect a lot of Skull and Cross bones.

Wish my image sig would work

And they'll finish with a Splinter Cell teaser...

With metal gear being killed by metal gear survive there is a huge gap in the market for a good stealth game. Would be nice if splinter cell could fill it.

I have no hope for Splinter Cell any more given the direction they went following Chaos Theory. If only we could get a sequel to that :(

I think a Switch Mini is the more likely announcement, to replace the 3DS

It certainly went south for the series, but Ubisoft have delivered some quality games of late so there's hope yet.

Considering the large gap between releases, there's a chance that this could be a bit of a reboot for the series.
