I hope Ubisoft still put on some loopy dance routine, the year wouldn't be complete without one

I still enjoy watching the E3 shows; it feels like a pretty good platform for the industry to deliver excitement and surprise for their customers.

I do shy away from the seemingly increasing negative buzz around the shows from social media, though. Last year I avoided looking at any social channels whilst watching the shows and felt all the better for it. I suspect that this is the crux for the presenting companies, too; negative feedback and the rise of resulting memes can sometimes overshadow any positive aspects.

I still enjoy it, but the past couple haven't been particularly great.

That said I do find the constant negativity around it tiring. It seems the internet in general go into the conferences looking for reasons to be miserable about them.

I'll be sad to see it go simply because it was great to have a few days of concentrated games announcements and news to look forward to every year.

Without it the summer seems a little barren.

It's a shame there's no other way for everyone to release all their new trailers at once.

I know. Such a shame the technology just isn't there for worldwide instantaneous trailer releases and gameplay footage beamed directly to your home or mobile devices.

I hate E3. It’s too much information in a short space of time, and interesting stuff gets buried.

I doubt this will change my perception or experience of E3 in any meaningful way. For years it has just been a collection of video streams from different publishers which happen to come out across a few days in June and which I rarely watch live. They will still happen, I will still watch them at some point. I don't really care about the stuff that happens "IRL"

I understand the sarcasm, but how else do you get Keanu Reeves on stage?

I’ll miss the memes more than the actual show.

This is my issue with E3 and why I gave up trying to follow it many years ago. It's just so much effort trying to keep up with it all that it's really not worth it.

There is a lot of info involved which can be annoying. I enjoy watching the odd presentation, particularly if there is something big that will come out (e.g. major release, new console etc.) but I really don't pay that much attention to the overall "event".

The day or two after it has happened you get some good summaries where you can watch the clips that are actually of interest to you and it's a much better way of processing it in my opinion.

I was looking forward to seeing what car was launched with the next Forza game at E3.

I'd much prefer all of the big 3 do Directs/State of Plays etc 3-4 times a year to E3 personally.

Yeah a Direct every quarter where the summer one is on a larger scale would be perfect for me.

I miss the days of getting an E3 magazine but it's been nothing more than a condensed You Tube highlight reel to me for a long time.

Now where will people go to complain about having to fly to the US and walk about and chat to people about a hobby they enjoy end up?
