Alright, guys, now that E3 is officially upon us, it's time for
The Fifth Annual GRcade E3 Competition Spectacular>> View the Leaderboard <<A little historyFor those that don't know, I usually ran a little competition in the Sony conference thread that usually involves somebody guessing how late it's going to start, and what'll be announced, with the winner walking away with a couple of PSN vouchers or something. For the third time, I've opened it up to the whole show, so more people can get in on the act.
The PrizeThe lucky winner will receive:
Any game of their choice shown at E3 A 100% genuine, bona fide GRcade custom rank A Mad Catz CTRL controller for your phone tablet, in the size of your choiceHot gooseberry fool, right?
Also, if you're the generous type, and want to donate an additional prize, PM me up and we'll get it together.
The rulesPhase 1: Everybody starts with 100 points. You all make predictions for how often something specific will occur in each of the 5 regular press conferences. You lose 5 points per number you're out, but you gain 25 points if you get it on the button.
Phase 2: There is a database housing a load of E3 predictions ranging from likely to kinda-unlikely. Your entry will randomly assign you 3 of these when you submit it. Every one that actually comes true nets you 20 points.
Phase 3: There is another database housing a number of potential E3 megatons. Your entry will randomly assign you one of these when you submit it. Your megaton is worth 100 points should it come true.
The winner is the person with the most points by the end. There'll be a tiebreaker if the scores are level at that point.
How to enterI've managed to resurrect last year's website to handle the entries and scores, assessible at:
http://e3.pyxl-8.com/To be able to submit a score, you first need an passcode, which you get by posting " " in this thread, and I'll PM it to you. Redeem it on the site, submit your entry, and you're golden.
Entries close at 1:00pm Monday 15th June, so get yours in before then.I'll be adding a live, auto-updating leaderboard as the show moves on, so you can see how you match up against the rest of the forum and how close you are to scooping the prize.
But all that's irrelevant because
ENTRIES ARE CLOSED
