 don't you dare

Any interest in another competition this year? I lost my old server so I'd have to make it from scratch again, and I have to make a call on effort vs interest.

I'll have a go.

I could do with some more free games :toot:

If you do, I'll donate a prize this time.

I think this is the first E3 I can remember where I won't be studying for exams or working, which is pretty cool. I've got other stuff planned for most of my leave but I think I should be able to catch pretty much all of the Monday and Tuesday if I really want to.

Pretty much the same here, although i had finished my final exam before e3 last year.

Its a shame the sony one is at 2am - i swear i watched it one year at around 8pm! Anyway, what i may do is wake up a bit early and watch that one without any spoilers. The nintendo one excites me the most as they should be showing more wii u software as well as one or two 3ds ones!

I am hoping the last guardian will make a dramatic entrance into the sony conference and think this is the last chance for the title, if it exists!

Has 4 weeks gone already? Amazing how quick time flies. I'm surprised we've had so few leaks prior to the conferences later. I genuinely think we're on the cusp of either an amazing E3, or a really uneventful one. It'll be the first time I will miss both Microsoft and Sony's conferences as they happen, but I'll be sure to tune everything else out until I've seen them. Nintendo's is always a little strange now. I seem to recall people being able to skip ahead of the direct video last year and gut the big news early.

Apologies for bumping this, but we don't seem to have a general E3 thread. Everything seems split by console manufacturer and I'm generally not sure where to post random ramblings. I assume it's okay to use this thread?

We're being utterly spoiled by conferences/events this year.

Bethesda
Microsoft
EA
Ubisoft
Sony
Nintendo
Square Enix
PC Gaming Show
Oculus

It's unprecedented. I'll have to take a couple of days off work.

Woops, I thought E3 was starting this week. Is it a week later this year, or am I going mad? Gutted, all those amazing announcements I expected to come home too.

I have the Monday and Tuesday off. I plan to spend most of Tuesday sleeping having stayed up for the Sony conference.

I never understand why people need to take a day or 2 off for E3...

You can read the headlines of the conferences in a few minutes in the evenings!

Yep it is a bit weird tbh, but if you get satisfaction out of taking days off work for these things why not?

Fairly sure that's Katee Sackhoff.

As for why I take time off - as others have said it's just a fun time of year and nice to be able to experience it properly.

Would you rather watch a football match live, or just get the score off the BBC website? Part of the joy of E3 is enjoying the real-time reactions and meltdowns on GRcade and GAF. I may even find my way onto Mumble this year to join in with the reactions on there.
