Castlevania Lord of Shadow: Mirror of Fate

This is incorrect. It is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror Of Fate

In the event of a sequel, I guess they'll use a semi-colon.

Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow - Mirror Of Fate; Reflections of Time

God help us if it's a trilogy.

Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion AND New Super Mario Bros 2. Really good first party line up for the end of the year, can't wait for Paper Mario.

Exclusive-wise, it's definitely got the best line-up.

Possibly, but I just want to see the Nintendo love shared across all of its IPs.

I am! I suppose I could attribute that mostly to his present guise; I wish Nintendo were markedly more adventurous with the character and his world audio-visually, but I'm in the minority in that department.

I would like to see the focus on Mario dispersed across the rest of Nintendo's franchises. But, in a way, I'm not altogether happy with their treatment of Mario as regards these NSMB games, subjectively. I really wouldn't want to see that form of attention directed at other franchises. However, though I don't like the Mario Galaxy games, they speak of a care and attention that I very much would like to see channeled into something like Star Fox or Wave Race.

I'm more Zelda-fatigued than Mario-fatigued. Still think two new NSMB games at the same time is excessive though.

tbh, it's mainly because the 3DS has been having it's fair share of titles from all their series. It just so happens that Paper Mario and Luigi's Mansion/NSMB2 come out in the same year.

NSMBU is just a good decision from there as it's going to sell bucketloads. This is the first home console to launch with a Mario game in 16 years I think it's been since Mario 64? We just recently had a Zelda game so that wasn't going to happen, DKC (just had one) doesn't have mass mass appeal, same goes for Kirby (which we also just had one), F-Zero doesn't have mass appeal (possibly coming up soon thanks to Nintendoland), Pikmin (Hooray!), Starfox (No mass appeal again), Kid Icarus (just had one) and Smash Bros (Sora only just finished Kid Icarus pretty much, I'd expect them showing something end of this year or next year).

I've probably missed out some but there's so many we've only just had and many without the appeal to sell systems. Can't wait for Pikmin though, been playing NPC Pikmin 1 for the past 3 hours or so.

Nope!

This is making up for the GC-GBA era. One new Mario platforming game and that was your lot back then. Now people are complaining because we have an embarrassment of riches!

So, how are Nintendo planning to ensure the Miiverse remains a safe place for children? Why, by approving each and every post by hand. That will totally work and I don't foresee any traffic or money problems with this approach whatsoever.

Already mentioned in the WiiU thread, I'm afraid. Wasn't the E3 folder meant to reduce the number of duplicate threads/posts? :(

Didn't that get posted about before in here?

I honestly think that they'll do a tospy turvy on that decision before launch. Either that or have it as a parental option so parents can use their account on the system to monitor what's acceptable for viewing by their kids. Either that or to just turn it off for people under 12 or something.

Where's my embarrassment of Metroid games? Or Zeldas? Or whatever else Nintendo makes?

The problem's down to me, I think. I suffer from some form of motion sickness whenever Mario has to navigate a spherical planet, though perhaps it's the coming together of dealing with gravity and my predisposition to craning my neck whenever Mario changes position vis-a-vis his surface. Whatever the reason, both games seem to make me feel very ill, and infuriatingly that's soured my opinion of their overall experiences. Doubtless, it is ill-judged of me to dislike something for that reason, because the problem concerns my own issues more than those of the games themselves...yet my difficulties in actually grappling with the games have made playing both of them a tribulation--I'm to blame for actually persisting--and I can't overwrite my negative memories of playing through both titles.

I do feel the care and attention that ooze out of them, though--and I still think that weight of care and attention is worthy of praise.

Did you like Mario 64?

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I'm not really tired of Mario but I do agree that having 2 NSMB games out so close is a bit daft. Its one of the reasons that the Wii U one for me isnt a system seller. Although it does look like the best yet. I think some of the "Call of Duty" criticisms are rather harsh. Until now the NSMB games have been once every 3 years and every one of them is on a different system so not everyone has access to all of them. Although I do share some of the concerns that they are not ambitous enough. Seeing something like the spherical ideas of the galaxy games in 2D would be quite nice. But I dont really now what else they can do with 2D Mario. There is a clear distinction for me between the 2D and 3D as well. To the point where I almost consider them to be completly seperate series. I think they aim to get one of each on each system now. 3D Land being the Galaxy of the 3DS.

That said they do need to get some new things going. Miyamoto was saying that hopefully at next years E3 we will see some of the new ideas of his. Which will be good. Also as great as Paper Mario looks I'd really like them to take something else and give it that twist. Even if its just a one off to give Mario a break. If it works out well they could alternate them. I'm glad they are returning to Pikmin and Luigi's Mansion (even though I've not played the first) just so we get some experiences to mix things up more. Something like Kid Icarus was so old it might as well have been something completly new. They certainly have plenty of things to revisit if needed. I think the biggest problem they have is some of those just dont have the same mass market appeal so even if they do happen they wont get the exposure that a Mario will anyway.

You can play the DS one on the 3DS and the Wii one on the Wii U, so technically you would only need 2 systems to be able to play all 4 games.
