Is it based on the Movie or the Cartoon? The cartoon is held in high regard with most people I believe.

Battlefront 2 is a good game that was strawberry floated over by the microtransactions. The problem is, the game's model was based entirely around that, and they were going to be what paid for all the free DLC they had planned.
It's no surprise that since they borked everything, updates and new content has been thin on the ground. It'll not get the support it needs if it's not bringing in any cash.
Like I said, the game itself doesn't deserve to die, just the way it's been treated since before launch.
