EA Access - No brainer at £20?

I couldn't find a topic on this but then the search doesn't pick up "EA" on it's own.

This is £20 a year for some pretty old EA games, but is there anything new likely to land on it?

Is it cross platform?

I've had it for almost a year now and I have to say it's pretty crap value as I never use it.
Maybe it's because I don't play EA sports games but even the rest of the stuff on the list while they seem great I have Game Pass which has much much better stuff on it so this service just sits there unloved and unused.

I'd say you're better off using the £20 for Game Pass subs as it's just a better service.

It's a brainer, a real brainer.

Looking at the list, you could probably purchase the games you want to play second hand for less than the £20. New stuff will take a long time to be added.

It's worth it for me just for the sports stuff, I easily get £20 a year just to be able to play FIFA, madden, NHL etc. Not fussed about having the latest one on launch day, it's normally six months or so late. Anything else on top is a bonus really.

Earlier today I claimed my one month free trial on Xbox. I've just played a bit of Bejeweled 3. Have Star Wars Battlefront II downloading (really, really slow). I have a yearning to play Mass Effect Andromeda. But £20 is great value if you will be playing some of the games.

I cancelled mine, GP is so much better value.

Game pass is the Xbox game service? I didnt have an xbox until yesterday so i might invest in that too.

Game Pass Ultimate is game pass & gold combined.

There are some Black Friday deals out there at the moment, Amazon are doing 3 months for £15.99, which is a pretty good price, but if you’ve only just bought the console you might have a free trial available?

Yeah it’s stackable, up to 3 years in total I think. I don’t know if the free trial will allow stacking though, so use that up first and hold onto the 3 month code.

Only because its available dead cheap at the moment, at some point they'll stop doing such good deals and it'll be more like the standard price of £8 a month.

Game Pass Ultimate is insane value at the moment.

EA Access is a longer running thing, like anything its only worth it if you want what's on the service, its a lower bar to pass at £20 a year than Game Pass is, so basically if there's a single thing added in a year you want it can be well worth it.
