I don't think a healthy scepticism for something that we haven't been told everything about yet, bearing in mind this is EA, equals a hatred of Microsoft.

 I can imagine how my brain would work if I signed up to this:
"Hey, Dicey - you know how you would have spent £45 on FIFA, but this month it only cost you £3.99? Well, now you can justify spanking £41 on Ultimate Team! Do it! Do it now before you miss out on Messi or a Legend!"

I have a terribly addictive personality. :fp:

The problem is, the majority of people who aren't keen on this don't have an XBO so therefore XBO owners see the views and consider it as hatred for MS. Shame this isn't on other platforms just so it wouldn't be seen as an anti MS thing.

Aye probably true. I have an XBO and I have zero interest in this though, so take that as you will.

You sir, are a liar (either no XBO or have already signed up to the service and are dissing it to look cool).

Doesn't interest me either. The only ea games that bother me are FIFA..and that's about it.

Well FIFA 15 will be the next purchase. Will I be able to get it straight away? Or have to wait 5/6 weeks?

Looks like a really great way to get Battlefield 4, FIFA 14 and Peggle 2 for just £20 (or just £4 if you just want to play them for a short amount of time) :D

If they add things like Need for speed etc in the future then this will be really good value so seems like a pretty astute deal for MS to make with EA. Seems like you're getting a lot of gaming for just £20 a year instead of £45 to £50 for just one game.

I think the key thing is you can just buy the game normally or just ignore the service all together if you're not interested in it.

I will wait and see how this actually works. £20 a year for lots of games sounds good, but I have a feeling it might be too good to not have a nasty catch hidden somewhere.

I'm not too worried as if there's any crappy things about the service then I just won't subscribe. It all sounds very upfront to me, pay £4/£20 and get access to a range of games. This would really cut down my spending and I'd also be able to play a lot more games. If there's any I want to keep then I'll just buy a disc copy if it's available.

This will probably be about as good as Origin Game Time. They've had 1 game and strawberry float all after that :slol:

And no I don't own an Xboner so automatically think its wank :datass:

I guess the main problem is EA games are garbage.

Well, no they're not. Battlefield and FIFA are hardly "garbage"

Describing Battlefield 4 as anything but garbage is factually wrong.

Let's all be honest

This does look like good value hence the positive reaction, it is well priced and is a decent proposition.

But also lets be honest about the fact EA are a bunch of ***** who **** up game launches and treat their customers like mugs.

Does a leopard ever change its spots? Will see over time how this plays out but naturally I will think the worst of them until they prove me wrong.
