Anything to do with games at all.

But isn't one condition of the FIFA agreement is that it must appear on all available formats? They did develop FIFA games for dying consoles (Wii and Vita) when they don't have to do at the time?

EA will never go for a single marketplace.

What the fook?

It will never happen.

Never say never. Stranger things have happened over the years. Sony might be killing it this generation but Microsoft after losing the smartphone and AI game, are so determined to win a consumer-focused industry and they have so much wealth they will likely come out on top. FIFA included with Games Pass would be a killer move.

MS have had wealth for a long time. It’s games that they need.

Fifa under the deal has to be on all possible formats. It also wouldn’t be logical for whoever owns EA to put it on one platform. Last time I read that UT was worth £800m per year. Given that most Fifa sales are on PS then the majority of UT money is coming from that platform.

Like I said, buying BioWare if Anthem fails and EA have had enough would be a logical move as they have a few IPs that would fit in the MS portfolio.

But I highly doubt if Anthem tanks that the board of directors are suddenly going to decide that it’s best for shareholders to sell up as Anthem didn’t do too well. If Fifa 20 tanks and UT sales are done then that is a different story.

Minecraft under MS is still multiplatform (because it's making them a shitload of money), so MS could be happy to have another mutliplatform cash cow with FIFA while maybe merging EA Access into Game Pass...

Don't think they'll buy EA now though.

Wouldn't the difference between making a new game every year and making a few updates to a game already out be very different, more so when FIFA may need to have a new engine and what have you?

If they bought EA they'd own the existing FIFA factories too, they could probably keep churning them out every year.

Six weeks and counting.

'Mon Respawn, do the franchise proud.

Why the hell aren't they working on a Republic or Imperial Commando title? Madness.

Having recently started the excellent TF 2 campaign I've high hopes for Fallen Order.

No better campaign than when you have to kill the final boss for that last hat.

Visceral could have put out a Republic Commando sequel. 4 player left4dead space co op set in the Star Wars universe with lootboxes
