I didn't buy it on Vita when it was available and then it got removed from the store, so I can only play it on PSP :(

I had it physical, but bought it digital once I knew I could play it on the Vita. Funny thing is the only one not playable is Renegade Squadron, as the PSP version of Battlefront 2 was made playable. I miss the space maps of Renegade.

I really don't care who has it to be honest as we're never getting a proper follow-up to the X-Wing/Tie Fighter series so we're already in the darkest timeline.

I would happy to boycott EA, Activision and Microsoft.

Ubisoft is alright. At least they still are doing single player games.

Wonder what 2K has done? I don't remember the last time I've played a game from 2K.

Official statement:

https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/ ... wars-title

"There's been speculation overnight about one of our Star Wars projects. As a natural part of the creative process, the great work by our team in Vancouver continues and will evolve into future Star Wars content and games. We're fully committed to making more Star Wars games, we're very excited about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from Respawn, and we'll share more about our new projects when the time is right."

So yeah. Cancelled.

2k have basically gone even further than EA when it comes to sports game monetisation

So that ridiculous pricing of their NBA games kinda make sense now.

But my Civ :(

I'm quite frankly amazed they haven't implemented Microtransactions into Civ yet. Very glad, but surprised.

I think it's insulated by being PC dominated and through its legacy.

Given that you can buy individual civs from Steam, I'm pretty sure they have?

Once this deal with EA is over, can't Disney just leave the license open to any studio to have a crack at a Star Wars game.

Yes when a contract expires then a new contract needs to be formed to replace the old one for business to continue.

Would Disney extend the contract in to a second term, nobody knows. It would depend how good a deal they had in this current one and any potential contract in the future.

Don't EAml make bajillions on sports titles? Would they need to sell up, or do you just want EA games to be exclusive to MS consoles?

Never say never. Stranger things have happened over the years. Sony might be killing it this generation but Microsoft after losing the smartphone and AI game, are so determined to win a consumer-focused industry and they have so much wealth they will likely come out on top. FIFA included with Games Pass would be a killer move.
