Let me guess though, [6] for Wario Land is too bad?

I didn't mention Wario, did my post disappoint you? :?

Wario World was good, we haven't played SD yet, how can you say it's wrong?

Is that a rhetoric question? Because I hope it is.

I actually quite enjoy the score thread arguments, I'll have you know.

And now, we play the waiting game...

He probably deserves it though.

Looking forward to SFIV. I hope the PS3 port is a good one.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Have you played it?
What other platformer is it most like?

Yeah, I've played it. It's most like the other Wario Land games but (in my opinion) better.

Is it another piece of crap 'shake to win' or does it involve skill?

Wario World was decent, good even...but it was extremely short and nowhere near as clever or interesting as Shake Dimension sounds.

Based on my comments in this thread, what do you think?

And it involves a LOT of skill to get all the stars for each level. To complete? Not so much (though most players will have a hard time with one or two of the bosses).

Interestingly (from NTSC-UK)

Poor structure and replaying levels to satisfy bonus objectives seem to be the main gripes.

Which is a bit mad because the whole point of the game is that you're supposed to replay the levels to satisfy the bonus objectives. And the structure is essentially identical to most 2D platformers. :|

Didn't Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction only get a 6? It'll be interesting to see how this review compares. I can't imagine the new is much of an evolution.

7, if I recall correctly. And most people are saying the download version is worse, and overpriced.

Incidentally, has anyone seen the top-left blob on the cover?

"Special Report - how Nintendo fell out of love with hardcore gamers"

That's not a very Edge headline, is it? It's interesting to compare and contrast that with the cover and the strap. It might as well be saying "the future's shiny, the future's not waggle".

Well I think I may buy this for the Pikmin retrospective, they gave it an offensively low score didn't they. Hopefully whoever has written the piece has set out to right some hideous wrongs.

Tools of destruction got an 8 in Edge.
I haven't read about quest for booty being worse anywhere either. The main criticism is that it's short.
