Same with my friends who own a Wii. They don't own Mario Galaxy, Zelda etc. They do own New Super Mario Bros, Madworld and House of the Dead Overkill.

I've pretty much resigned myself to getting a Wii just for these two games.

Evidently, you and Lucien know a lot of idiots.

Haven't you got games more obscure than RapeLay to be "reviewing"?

Same, none of my wii owning mates will buy into it either which is a great shame, they only keep the machine for Zelda and Wii Sports.

The games my mates play most on Wii are Wii Sports Resort, Just Dance and the Resident Evil light gun games. The only PS3 games they play are Modern Warfare 2 and GTA.

The thing is with "casual" gamers is that they may take an interest in a game like Mario Galaxy or say Uncharted 2 but will be put off by the price. They usually wait for games to drop in price before picking them up. I remember that some of mates bought Modern Warfare 2 on launch day for £25 and thinking it was a bit expensive.

1. Rapelay's not really obscure. It's incredibly well-known.

2. It was a joke, man. You said yourself that they drive you mad for not getting the game.

Alan Wake actually got a better score than I thought it would in Edge.

I'm still totally hyped for this as the people who seem to like it, really like it.

Yep, quite surprised it got a [7].

Isn't that also what they gave Heavy Rain?

Indeed it is.

It's obvious.

Mario Galaxy got a [10], this is basically the same game with no risks taken so it has the same score.

It is more of the same, an expansion pack to an Edge Ten.

I'm really looking forward to it but can't help but have my optimism knocked a but by a 7.. Have Games TM and GameSpot reviewed it yet? I trust their scores the most, these days.

An Edge score has never affected my anticipation of a game.

8 in gamesTM.

Also Edge gave Fallout 3 [7], I think it's one of the greatest games of all time.

Edge have gave a lot of good games a 7.

Fallout 3, Heavy Rain and now Alan Wake are recent examples.

I loved the first two and I'm really looking forward to Alan Wake so it really has zero effect on me whatsoever.

People trust Gamespot?

Edge gave Mass Effect 1 a 7. The eurogamer and nowgamer are more worrying reviews because those are two sites where you would expect a game so hyped up like this get a higher score. Still kept my pre-order for the limited edition.

I would go as far to say that Fallout 3 has been my favourite game of this gen but I'm not blind to the things that could cause the game to get a [7]. The combat is ropey, the compass doesn't always work, the story naff, etc, etc, while this didn't detract from my enjoyment at all I can't deny the problems exist.

I agree with nearly every 10 given out by both Games TM and Edge but would have to say the ones that were given out by Games Tm were fantastic at the time but the ones given out by Edge will age far better. Obviously there are exceptions but generally I think that is true.

Also just like to add that it's nice to hear more from Albear, sorry to hear about your break up and it's nice you can fit us in between crying and masturbating yourself into oblivion.
