I'm seriously starting to doubt my judgement on being nice to you....

I quite clearly made the original "'hours is comparable to fascist *****" comment, not the man himself. The tone of your post left something to be desired. Its hardly 'hours fault that you misread the whole thing and responded in a somewhat disparaging way.

But, he can fight his own battles, but if you want to have a go about the comment, have a go at the person who made it - me.

I guess it was the way he thought it was 'genius'. Never mind.

Anyway, this 'super member' thing is ridiculous, if that goes ahead I'm outta here faster than Usain Bolt when he needs the toilet.

Should such 'votes' even be counted? This is a valid question to ask if the given vote is then effectively renounced by its caster.

:?:

This thread is brilliant. Totally let me waste my day and chuckle.

I quite clearly made the original "'hours is comparable to fascist bitch" comment, not the man himself. The tone of your post left something to be desired. Its hardly 'hours fault that you misread the whole thing and responded in a somewhat disparaging way.

Yes indeed. DML: doubting your judgement on being "nice" to me when I simply responded to a disparaging remark made about me by you is symptomatic of how we got into this mess in the first place. It's the constant rewriting of history and misinterpretations of stuff that always got to me when it came to you on GR, and there's a prime example of it! Ie: How can I be in the wrong when you made the bloody remark?! Madness.

Think it through, fella. I don't want to argue either, but if you can't see that you were the instigator here (and indeed, have been somewhat disparaging in places throughout the thread) then it's pretty inevitable we're going to cross swords again, as it leaves the continuing impression that your brain's not quite wired straight when it comes to analysing what's going on and who did/said what.

I only thought that CJ's thinking was clever. :(

EDIT: Sorted out a typo that made me look Italian.

I'll vote 'yes' if Eighthours emails me the script of his book. I'd even paypal him £4.99.

While Eighthours was a good mod, I don't think there needs to be yet another mod as we have plenty.

I've been pretty reasonable in this thread. I called a truce, and then explained I don't think things need changing because the vibes so nice at the moment, and theres nothing to moderate. I then say that the thread has descended into chaos, which lets face it it has.

No Eighthours bashing yet is there? Lets continue...

Then I in your eyes 'misinterpreted' what you said, when to be honest, i was only making a jokey joke about the Thatcher thing, to showcase the fact this thread isn't going anywhere...

So, all in all - I'm seriously trying here. If I'm the one misinterpreting every little thing, how have you managed to read something in all of that that wasn't there? You can even go check the posts if you like...

However, I do object to you saying my brain might be wired incorrectly, thats a snipe I don't appriciate - and one I think I've proved on quite a few occassions isn't the case.

Let me clarify: I said "leaves the continuing impression". I didn't say it was, I was trying to explain how these things can come across. I'll withdraw the remark if you like - I'm sorry for offending you. :)

(It wouldn't be an epic thread without a spat between us two, right? ;) )

I think it's very telling that a) you've won a bigger %age of yes and b) none of these dramatics happened in your thread.

Eighty as a mod isn't a big issue due to the fact that he was one of GR, so it isn't a drastic change.

This kind of thing. Votes 'No' but then says (in effect) he has no objection to Eight being a Mod.

Fair point. But despite not being too bothered about him gaining modship, I also considered whether we seemed to need any new mods, what effect such changes would have to the board and to Eighthours' behaviour. I think you'll find the stricter ban rules on GRcade compared to GR means that we probably don't need more mods. Kiran did next to nothing back on GR, so we only lost one. We gained Garth, so we're even. We have two active admins instead on one fairly active. If anything, we are up.

It always comes down to that though, 'I'm clearly right because you're obviously a flippin' mentalist!' I'm no more stupid then you!

By what I just said, it would 'leave the continuing impression' that you aren't learning from your own past mistakes.

Anyway, I've had enough of this now, I won't post anything else.
