It's amazing when you say anything about taxing the top few people on Earth so many will claim it's pure jealousy or socialism/communism.
The ultra rich have more money than they can spend in 10 lifetimes of ridiculous spending but using some of it to help pay for infrastructure, education or healthcare is totally unacceptable.

He didn't make it as such, he had a website that either merged or later became PayPal, he then sold his stake in PayPal for a boat load of cash. I'm not sure how involved he was in the coding or whether he was just using his families money to be a part of it.

He's not an inventor, he's an investor. SpaceX/Tesla are owned by him (or he has the biggest stake in them), he then employs people to make his ideas - space rockets and electric cars - a reality and he then makes money from that.

He does code he made a computer game that made him $500 before PayPal. I read that the Tesla Roadster was based on a GM project he is listed as product architect for Telsa as well as CEO but who knows that that actually entails.

I'm awaiting Tesla's share price tumbling when people realise they don't actually have the patent on making electric cars and companies like GM have massive manufacturing facilities. These people are surprising irrational.

I also find it annoying he bought his 'founder' status of Tesla, when he bought his way into the company.
