For someone who apparently runs successful companies like Tesla how can you so fundamentally not understand how businesses work. It's not blackmail or some other persecution complex thing, it's purely that spending money to be seen on a platform associated with such messaging has now tipped some real or ephemeral equation into the red; advertising on platforms like twitter is a means to an end, the companies doing it do not give a strawberry float about the platform itself and will simply go somewhere else.

Also I'm sure this is totally NOT going to lead to more of a run of companies leaving as nothing says everything's ok like having a big tantrum and insulting everyone.

It's becoming more and more clear he wasn't really running those companies, in my opinion.

The rumours are that his companies management is structured to nullify his input.

Good lord  his fans have convinced him he is some kind of spokesperson (and probable saviour) for the entire planet .

He looks very unwell in that video. I feel too bad to mock his mannerisms, as there is an obvious neurodiversity going on there.

It's the classic freedom of speech and freedom from consequences dichotomy these privileged libertarian twats will never get their heads round.

Looking forward to his meltdown when Biden wins next year :datass:.

He is the product of very rich parents, he had never faced any consequences for his actions and is surrounded by yes men. His money means he can buy his way out of any problems or just take the loss when he fails hard. A spoilt brat who isn't used to being challenged, so much so he buys one of the biggest communication tools of the modern age to censor his critics (and a good amount of female accusers too) as well as have an audience of fanboys who like and share everytime he says something brief which is mistaken for being profound.

Wish my image sig would work

It's a trick question, he was actually talking about Boris Johnson.

Well that's one way to literally tell one of the richest and most successful companies of all time to not advertise with you even if you do anything they hope for.

lol. I'd say enjoy wasting money but it's super sad that it is not going to be providing jobs in tech and its wealth that could be better directed elsewhere than propping up a billionaire's ego.

This is just too funny. Elon is a failure in so many ways.

I saw a post earlier that plotted Grok's response trend towards the left-wing/progressive corner of that ideological plotter-thingy. Musk's fedora-wearing misogynist crew losing their minds over it — Musk promising to 'fix' it. I wondered if that's just how absurd things are now, particularly as a result of the Trump presidency — things that are literally just the bland truth are now considered to be radical left-wing ideology?!

Alex Jones: Conspiracy theorist returns to X after Elon Musk poll

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has had his account on X - formerly Twitter - reinstated by Elon Musk.

Musk asked users to vote in a poll whether or not to lift a Jones ban pre-dating his ownership of the platform, signalling he would honour the result.

Around 70% of roughly two million respondents voted to lift the ban.

I suspect this is mainly to bring back all the weird snake oil merchants who grift off his terminally stupid supporter base as advertiser's: those "anti 5g" necklaces full of dangerous radioactive powder, usb sticks to block wifi that are just cheap blank ones you can buy in bulk from china, various other legitimately dangerous quackery.

If I'd not already canned my account then this would certainly push me over the edge. I have considered on occasion reinstating it but I definitely won't be going back now.

Did you ever see the tiny faraday cages that prevented Wi-Fi from altering your DNA by "suppressing" the radio frequencies? It was like a tiny dog cage for your Internet. Y'know the internet that lives in the router.

I remember reading the reviews for them that complained that their Wi-Fi no longer worked.

Pretty sure it was because nobody knew the difference between 5Ghz radio and 5G apparently. Because remember it's 5G that's transmitting the mind viruses.
