I saw on my dog walk this morning that some nutter has hand written some conspiracy nonsense and taped it inside the bus shelter. I'll the a picture off it next time in out there.

Im signed up on Bluesky now, its still very quiet, though there was a migration of rugby people there in the last couple of weeks which has given the place a bit more life. Really considering just closing my Twitter account, Ill hang onto it for another little while but Ill be rid of it soon enough to be honest.

This is one of the reasons I haven't migrated. I'm almost certainly going to lose some of the Arsenal/politics people I follow, as well as some of the silly comedy accounts. As someone who only reads on there and doesn't really post I will definitely lose something.

The tesla recall isn't as bad as it first appears, as they're essentially just pushing out an update, but the American authorities are classing it as a recall. It's still a pretty bad reflection on their "autopilot" feature, though.

I can't believe how long it's taken for the recall to happen. It's been clear for a long time the feature was all smoke and mirrors.

Been listening to a podcast about Alex Jones returning to Twitter. There was a meet up where Elon showed up. He was talking about how the planet can actual house 10 times the humans it does now. He suggested if you flew a plane from California to New York and randomly dropped a bowling ball out of the plane, the chances of hitting somebody was basically zero. So basically there's loads of space of more people to live. I was blown away by quite how stupid his argument was.

He's almost certainly correct there. If anything he's underestimating how much empty space there is on Earth.

Supplying 10 times the human population with enough food, water, electricity etc etc is a different story though.

Yeah, that was kind of what I thought. The issue isn't having space it's having the resource to feed and home them. The whole bowling ball thing is just missing the point of what the constraints the potential max population size of the earth.

How can you rule over billions of slaves on Mars without building up a huge population?
