Happy polling day, everyone! :toot:

Predictions are intriguingly spaced out... entry will close at 10pm.

Try not to get totally swept away in all the excitement!

To do so I've gotta vote for the red tories sadly, but at least overall regardless of who starmer is the labour MPs are much better people for the most part.

1400, go big or go home.

Our boundaries have changed this election. We've had a Lib Dem councillor in charge for donkeys years. He's a nice guy and active in his community but I don't actually agree with a lot of his views for the local area - a few years ago he and his colleagues went full throttle against an alcohol licence for a small restaurant at the end of my road. More recently my son's school had roadworks which prevented parents parking and he sent a letter round saying how it was brilliant and maybe the restrictions should be brought in full time. Er how about no with a creamy strawberry float off sauce :simper:

Labour has the best chance of beating him but let's just say Labour-led local government in Liverpool doesn't have the best reputation (:slol:) and I'm honestly quite angry about Keir Starmer's recent lurch to the right to win over the red wall, because it betrays all the people that stuck with Labour against this awful Tory party in 2019 in favour of racist boomers that abandoned Labour because CORBYNBREXIT. Such is politics I suppose, but it panders to a new status quo that I really don't like.

I'll be voting Green.

It's a local election rather than a national one, so voting Labour just to block a Tory is far less important. Is your local council completely split between Labour and Tory, or do other parties/independents have a chance there?

Pretty much a two horse race here and one of then horses is currently 24 seats higher than anyone else (the Tories). Labour used to be in power here council wise until about 15 years ago it seems so I would think if anyone has a chance of winning it back it's them so just voting for who I think is most likely to win.

I know blocking Tories at the local level isn't as important, but strawberry float Tories at all levels.

Fair enough.

At a local level, Starmer will have bugger all control and so go for it.

Local Council is Tory controlled, but the seat in my ward up for election today is currently held by a Lib Dem. 2/3 of the seats in this ward are LD.

The second largest party on the borough council are the Greens, but they're not fielding a candidate in this ward.

I'll be voting for the TUSC candidate.

300 losses for the Conservatives is my guess.

No elections today for Fareham. That might be for the best though as Labour got a drubbing in a by-election earlier this year in Porchester. :slol:

Nintendo should buy a big ad space for Tears of the Kingdom next to tomorrow’s headlines.

After a remarkably even early spread of votes, the 200-399 group has stormed into the lead.

For shame, GRcade! We need more optimism than this! :capnscotty:
