Same here. The three candidates standing are tory, labour and lib dem, so I voted lib dem.

Bless them, the seven brave souls, each of whom shines a beacon of hope and joy .

If we can topple 1,000+ of the bastards, our celebrations shall surely overshadow those of the Lizard Lovers, long into the weekend :toot:.

I had eight(!) votes, seven of which went to the Lib Dems ( :toot: ) and one of which went to the only green candidate- who turned out to be my ex-wife!

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

I had 6 votes, 3 across 2 seperate bits of paper. 1 was 3 tories vs 3 labour so that was easy. Second page had 7 people, 3 tories, 3 lab and a green member. I went for green and 2 lab on that one.

I asked the officers if any people had been turned away for ID and they said only one had. I live in quite an affluent area though so driving licences etc will be relatively common. I was going to say this shows that, in my area at least, disenfranchisement hasn't happened, but then maybe people just haven't shown up...

I had three votes.

I don't think they propably checked my ID. They had a woman you had to show your id to to get in but then there was a man who would sort out your voting stuff and cross you off the list. So I could have told him anything I wanted.

Usually on the BBC but don't know if you can get it outside the UK.

I just looked at the results and automatically refreshed the page because I'm so used to VAR ruling things out :fp:

Great that the Tories are losing, but Labour is so awful at the moment, I'm finding it hard to be celebratory.

As the BBC aren't reporting on it at all, the tories must be taking a kicking :toot:

Ah, bollocks. Needed them to lose at least 7 seats in my area, but they only lost 5, so retain overall control .

Not so bloody marvellous overall!

Just loathe Starmer, he's only doing well because the Tories are so bad, not because he has good policies or is inspiring on anyway.

I really disagree with this, watching him in PMQs every week is pretty inspiring.

He's good in PMQs but it's hard to support him when he's dropped so many of the pledges he made to get into the leadership position while cutting as much of the left wing of the party out as he can.

If Labour have to turn blue to win a GE who is really winning?
