So this game is a personal fave on the Switch and though I've finished a basic run-through, it's so more-ish that I keep going back to it.

I'm now trying to piece together the super gun thing? from the gunsmith lady. I've given her arcane powder, primer and whatever you get from the other end of that huge chasm. I'm just missing the Obsidian stone. I'm not sure I've even ever seen it - has anyone else?

I'd look online but it feels more fun (and fair game) to get some community advice! :D

Free Update on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC!

Enter the Gungeon’s ‘A Farewell to Arms’ update brings a first to Gungeon expansions- two new playable Gungeoneers in The Paradox and The Gunslinger. Battle-tested Gungeoneers will welcome the arrival of dozens of new guns and items, a new secret floor with a new boss, and the addition of community-inspired Rainbow Mode! Additional features, tweaks and fixes keep up with the philosophy to make the player feel “more powerful, more often” implemented in the previous update.

Patch notes -

Hey Gungeoneers!

Enter the Gungeon: A Farewell to Arms is now live!

This update is the final, goodbye, expansion to Enter the Gungeon that extends and further refines the original game with new features and variety. For the first time since the release of the base game, you can take control of two new secret characters, the randomized Paradox and the [REDACTED]. Experienced Gungeoneers will also explore the new secret area filled with new enemies, face off against a unique new boss, and go nuts with the community inspired Rainbow Mode!

Continuing in AG&D’s tradition, the Gungeon is more inviting than ever: a buff pass has been made on a huge number of guns and items, making red chests more consistently good, along with a number of fixes and quality of life improvements.

And of course, there are plenty of New Guns, New Items, and New Synergies!

We have been working on Enter the Gungeon for five years now… we are extremely excited to finally consider Gungeon complete, and to move on to new projects, with the release of this final update on the three year anniversary of Gungeon’s launch. We sincerely hope you enjoy what is included. And of course, there will be bugs, but hopefully much less than AG&D (we allocated much more time for testing) and as usual we will work as quickly as possible to fix them. If you want to aid that process, please send an email with your log file to bugreports@dodgeroll.com (more info here). Finally, thank you so much for supporting us for the last few years. It’s been a ride. ENTER THE GUNGEON may finally be complete, but the Gungeon remains.

As always, patch notes below:

Patch 2.1.0

New Features

Developer Dodge Roll's sublime bullet hell dungeon crawler, Enter the Gungeon, is getting a spin-off! It's called - wait for it - Exit the Dungeon, and it's coming to Apple Arcade "soon".

According to publisher Devolver Digital, Exit the Gungeon is a joint project by Dodge Roll and developer Singlecore Games, and reworks its predecessor's critically acclaimed top-down dungeoneering action into what's being referred to as a "bullet hell dungeon climber".

There's currently no word as to whether it'll be making its way to other platforms at a later date.

Also Enter the Gungeon is out on Xbox/PC Game Pass on Thursday.
