If you like Leffe Blonde get the La Trappe. They've got a bundle deal on to get 2 kegs and a La Trappe glass at the moment.

Other than that guess it depends what you like. Jupiler is the best lager I've had. The Hertog Jan is supposed to very good but not tried it yet.

For something a bit fruity the Clwb Tropica (the extra strength of the Pineapple Express isn't worth it for me) Cali Pale Ale and La Virgen pale ale are all delicious.

If you like Guinness the Magic Rock Dark Arts is supposed to be very good.

Shelby is nice but not as good as Jaipur.

I took so long choosing kegs, that the machine went out of stock! I signed up for the waiting list, and it’s back in stock already, so I didn’t hang about this time, and I’ve got my order placed.

Great, you're now a Perfect Drafter!

What kegs did you go for?

Limited myself to two for the first order - Jupiler and Shelby - but I’ll be ordering more next month. If I like the Shelby, I’ll probably get another of those, plus two others in the 10% off selection.

I see they do regular Leffe Blonde too. Probably save that for winter.

I might order a few of those magnets for ones I’ll be buying regularly, but probably just the tap medallions.

Good choices.

They do quite a lot of different Leffe. Agree it's more of an Autumn/Winter drink. I had a Keg with a BBQ on bonfire night last year, it was great. Think ill try the Brune thid year. If we get some more nice weather also going to get the Ruby.

Yes it's pretty smart machine anyway.

Couple of tips, if you don't pre chill a Keg it can take a while to cool down so put it in the night before and don't rely on the amount left counter!

Ah, ok! Does the counter overstate how much is left then? I can’t really visualise the keg size, but hopefully I’ll be able to clear a spot in the fridge for pre-cooling.

There’s no serious cleaning routine, is there? I read that you get new tubing with each keg. And I must remember to keep the boxes for returning the empties!

It can over and under state, its very erratic.

They can fit in a fridge but you might need to adjust the shelves to get it in.

No, I've had mine for over a year now and not really done any. Although I read recently someone was having an issue with a Keg cooling and when he took the back off the fan was quite clogged but I guess it takes quite a while to get like that. Yes, fresh tube with each keg and keep the box. I'm taking 9 back tomorrow so thats £45 of credit.

Nine? Been a heavy week?!

Now I’ve ordered it, I’m impatient for it to arrive. All they’ve said is “by Friday”.

Turned out it was only 6, I'd just moved an empty box there too. They've built up from before the Euros so a couple of months but I was still a little relieved when I realised it was only 6!

I reckon you'll have it by Wednesday.

Delivery tomorrow! I must temper my enthusiasm, because there only so much beer I can drink. When I got my Gaggia espresso machine, I drank so much coffee on day one I was nearly ill.

That happened to me when I got my De'Longhi machine.

And continues to happen :fp:

Wasn't planning on having a drink tonight but been a busier than usual day at work and it's quite a nice evening so couldn't resist a pint (might end up a few!) of Tiny Rebel Cali Pale Ale

The up (and down side!) of having a Perfect draft!

Why do unplanned things always seem so good!

Got mine all set up now. Should be chilled by lunchtime tomorrow. But I still keep going to check how far it’s got.

I couldn’t resist briefly opening the tap, just to make sure everything was working correctly. I don’t want to wait until tomorrow, only to find something’s knackered. As expected, being warm, it was just a load of froth.

It's supposed to take an hour per degree. What's it at now?

Once it gets under 10 it's drinkable!

It’s at 11 degrees. But I want the first drink to good as it can be. I might get up at 4am.

I’m out all morning, but it’s going to be a sunny afternoon. Seems like the right time.

I'd wait until the afternoon.

Did you go for the Shelby or Jupiler first?

Remember, tap open full straight away and hit the glass ASAP, your first pint might still have a bit of head (mine above was the first) but after that it should be better.
