Fever tree do an awesome spiced orange ginger ale that goes epic with rum.

I think we've had that. Their flavoured tonics are beautiful with a quality gin too.

Shudder. Just seen this. Do not put flavoured tonics anywhere a good gin for crying out loud! Why on earth mask the carefully put together flavour of a good gin with flavours the distiller never intended? (Btw you can drink gin neat you know.) I feel quite sick at the mere thought of it!!

Got my free box from them the other week. It's not bad.

What beers did you get? Might give it a go now the queue system has gone.

Two Elvis Juice, another two Brewdog ones and four others (two from Cloudwater, can't remember the other)

I got mine yesterday. Cracking stuff. Got three more crates with the deal then I'll cancel before the next payment. I really like it but it's just so expensive at full price.

I see gin criticism hasn't quite caught up with postmodernism yet

Who gives a toss what the distiller intended, they're making it to sell for a profit. It's booze, not Sylvia bloody Plath.

Ok then, if you are stupid enough to put down your, no doubt, hard earned cash on drinking utter shite and are proud of it I’ll leave it with you. I’d suggest you just buy some meths; may as well.

Likewise, if you're proud of spending your hard earned cash on drinking posh gooseberry fool that's going to come out of the same piss hole at the end of the day, more power to you. Crack on and be as elitist as you like.

You try to help someone out with common sense and you respond with a glib comment. You know, spirits are expensive, you can either choose to educate yourself or not. I agree, entirely up to you but personally I prefer to keep learning. Otherwise I’d still be drinking shite. Leave it with you, your money, your choice. Or, like you say, it’s just alcohol so who gives a gooseberry fool. Meths it may as well be then.

Lol. That really is the most stupid thing I’ve read all day. Zero to do with being elitist.

Out of curiosity, how do you drink with your head so far up your own backside?

Wit not your strong point then. I think the elite one is very much your good self but I don’t think you are self-aware enough to realise that.

Please explain

You're the one telling people how they should be drinking their gin. I don't recall anyone asking.

I made a perfectly sensible, hopefully helpful, comment. You and Victor are the ones getting your knickers in a twist. I’m not judging, I’m just saying. Whereas, you have weighed in and judged me on the basis of zilch.

You shudder and feel sick at the thought of someone adding flavoured tonics near good gin, and suggested we may aswell be doing meth if we're drinking it that way, but sure, no judgement there.

I definitely judged you, no argument there, but I take umbridge more with your manner than your choice of beverage.

For what it's worth, I don't even drink gin.

Good grief, have you heard not heard of humour? My comments were entirely tongue-in-cheek, not serious. I give in - seems like there is no place for a joke or two any more. Carry on, I’ll leave you to it.
