Keep meaning to get a bottle of this. Mainly because of Don Draper.

Did the same thing a few years back.

Yeah, I neglected to mention that I wanted to drink it because of Mad Men. Or that I also smoked Lucky Strikes briefly for the same reason. I wasn’t even a smoker, really.

I drank more whisky watching those 7 seasons of Mad Men than I have before or since, couldn't help myself

I hate the taste of pretty much all booze. I think lager is horrible, disgusting taste that I don't understand how the masses can drink it. Vodka and gin, wtf! Horrible.

Advocat though, with lemonade, yummy.

Thank god for drugs.

I’ve got a bit of a thing for White Claw lately but it’s bloody expensive for what it is.

I tried the black cherry one a few weeks ago, the flavour wasn't all that strong, but it was nice and refreshing.

Since hitting 30, I've really gotten into wine, especially reds! It's funny really because up until then, I wouldn't have been caught drinking wine!

I found the last couple years, that beer/ale left be very bloated, I figured it was the gluten and started to cut it out of my diet, since then I've been fine! I really find reds go down very easily... a little too easily actually! I've started appreciating the different grape varietals, regions and flavours too.

I've done some pretty... Extensive... Research on it and I really like going for the fuller bodied ones, and in particular I've really liked what I've tasted coming out of South America!

I shop at Aldis and as you can imagine they make it very accessible trying all different sorts!

If anyone has any suggestions for me to try, by all means let me know and I'll do a mini review on them! :D

Those alcoholic seltzers are really nice. There's one called Dragon Water and the Cucumber/Watermelon one is legit one of the most refreshing things in the world.

I really like wine now too. I find beers and stuff leave me feeling like utter dogshit the day after in most cases, whereas having a couple of bottles of wine between us over an evening is lovely, with the added bonus I can actually function the next day.

What are your go-to wines normally?

I just looked up White Claw on my online shop, thinking I might see what the fuss is about. Fizzy water with a shot of vodka and a bit of flavour. £2 for a small can. And that’s supermarket pricing. I’ll pass.

It was great when I lived in Italy. Bottles of wine for about 3 euros that was pretty damn good considering the price. My go to wines were Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Pecorino, Trebbiano and Chianti. I live in Germany now where you can get equally good wine for similar prices, and it's been nice trying some German wines, which are better than their reputation. Had some very good Riesling here.

I favour white wine over red. I like red, but I only have a few glasses over an evening - any more and I get bad headaches and a hangover. White wines, i like Australian, Californian, and particularly Italian wines. We tend to get a nice mixed box from virgin wines, with a mix of white, red, rose and sparkling. It's about £55 a box, but lasts a while and you get to know a few favourites out of it. We like the Black Pig Aussie chardonnay that we got in a box once, so we usually add a few bottles of that to an order.

I'm the same with red. Someone once told me the darker in colour the alcohol is, the worse the hangovers, and I really think this is true :slol:

I’ve recently got back into Guinness again recently. £9 for 10 in Sainsbos at the moment. That widget in the can is pure brilliance.

If you haven't tried it give the foreign extra version a go, it is damn damn good.

Hopefully it will be as good as the Jupiler which was light and refreshing - very drinkable.

Have to admit, my experience using my friend's Perfect Draft wasn't exactly brilliant. We all spent a lot of time scooping out 'head', which would generally take up at least half of the glass, then fannying about topping up. The only advice we could find was to put it on full as quickly as possible and to angle the glass so it wasn't crashing straight down to the bottom, but it just wasn't playing ball.

The beer was decent enough, although I actually seem to prefer it out of a can (still poured into a glass) these days. I never thought I'd say that, but the quality of the stuff you can get in cans seems to have skyrocketed in recent years.
