There is a really good bottle shop in Borough Market called Borough Wines, well worth a stop in for some train back beers :)

Went down to a cool brewery we do whenever we have meetings in Dudley this week - Windsor Castle. I usually just stick with the lagers or pale ales and of those Mellow Yellow is my favourite (probs one of my fave beers full stop) but this time I tried a Mud City Stout as it was the recommended ale for my food. Im not usually a stout guy but oh my days this stuff was insane delicious. Super smooth and went down easy. I think you can buy it in bottles too but Im not sure if it'll be the same as from the keg.

Finally found some of the new Guinness Golden Ale tonight and so grabbed a few bottles of that and its a lot nicer than I was expecting. First few sips are a bit watery but once its on the palate it gets really fruity and hoppy. Very nice.

Im still largely a beer noob but definitely enjoying what appears to be a wider and more accepting range of tastes than I had just a few years back.

I think it helps that beer has gotten better in recent years too, as there is now so much more choice everyone even the macro brewers have had to put more effort in.

There is indeed.

It might be worth looking at some of the beer boxes that are about like beer 52 they are great for trying new stuff.

A friend of mine went through a phase where he drank tonnes of that stuff, I never thought too much of it always thought it wasn't gingery enough.

Another friend at one punt gave me some alcoholic iced tea, I can't remember who made it but it was good.

Went to London Drinker Beer and Cider Festival today.

One of the beers I had was Uprising Brewery's Caramel Macchiato (6.4%) - Coffee aroma and caramel sweetness but not too sweet like some of Starbucks' drinks XD

Really wish I liked beer, seems like there's a massive selection of different variations and would become a really neat hobby trying them all.

But alas, my tastebuds protest.

Brewfist Green Patrol Black IPA 8.2%

A very pleasant and strong Black IPA. Lovely colour with coffee and Chocolate notes. Strong, but not to a fault.

Not as good as The Kernel black IPA, but still worth a drink.

3.5/5

Nice deep chocolate, toffee and malt flavours and no harshness despite the 7.4%
