Ordered a case of 12 stouts and porters from beer hawk on the way, panicked the voucher my colleagues at my old work got me when I left might run out soon. Nothing too fancy in the selection but free and I do love a stout.

Tiny Rebel Stay Puft, Wiper and True Milkshake and Thornbridge Cocoa Wonderland are well nice. They aren't doing individual beers at the moment so this seemed like the best option.

I'm pretty excited, stouts are my favourite.

Also looking at getting some Marble beer in, but they don't have my favourites on at the moment (Earl Grey IPA, Dobber) https://marblebeers.com/product-category/?term=beers

As the King of Booze, you seem the bloke to ask. I've been getting into craft beer during lockdown, I don't usually drink at home!

What companies (that deliver!) would you recommend for a selection of beer? I want to try a variety of stuff rather than just cans/bottles of the same stuff.

I like lager, IPA, porters etc so just looking to order an interesting and tasty selection. Other than Brewdog, I don't really know of any that deliver!

Beer hawk are usually pretty good.

Also worth having a google for local bottle shops that are delivering, they usually have epic selections and are small independents so worth supporting (my local one does nationwide delivery and are awesome https://www.eelandbear.com/)

Tesco is also a good place to go, they generally have an awesome craft section with stuff ranging from the 4% mark up to 9 or 10. Recently they have had a Brewdog vs Evil Twin Espresso Nitro Stout which is epic good.

Cheers, not heard of beer hawk so I'll check them out.

I've bought a few from Tesco. Think "Hazy Daze" has been my favourite from there.

A few from my local Tesco I’d say try if they have them:

Vocation, love and hate
Northern Monk, Tropical World Smoothie IPA
Vocation x Marble, Hop Skip Juice
Brewdog, O-G Hazy
Brewdog v Modern Times, Modern Times
Vocation, Breakfast Club Stout
Thornbridge, Jaipur
Thornbridge, Green Mountain

But not all on one night :D

Jaipur is one of my favourite 'standard night in' type beers. Thornbridge as a brewery in general is great.

And now I want to go to Tesco

I just signed up for Beer52 as I only have to pay postage for 8 beers. I'll cancel after that and then check out Brewdog or your suggestion of Beer Hawk. Plus trips to Tesco!

Anyone spent time in Australia?

Really enjoyed their beers. Furphy, Victoria Bitter, Carlton Draught, Hahn Superdry, Pure Blonde.

I used to have beer52 but their boxes went downhill and seemed to be beers they put their own labels on rather than 'proper' brewis, to the point on of their month themes was a Scottish Island that has no breweries on it.

I think they have picked up since though.

Cancelling can be a pain as you have to phone them

Yeah the Tesco selection is pretty decent these days. We currently get a priority Tesco spot, so I've just been trying what they offer. The 2 for £9 is pretty good value.

The 4 packs? Yeah they are indeed. Morrison’s sometimes does some good stuff too according a mate of mine, but I don’t live near Morrison’s so dunno.

Asda looks better for spirits than Tesco.

Tesco have a history of supporting craft beer though, it’s down to them almost that Brewdog got going as they ran a beer competition that Brewdog won 3 of the spots in, it meant they got a massive contract make the Tesco Finest Double American IPA which was basically Hardcore IPA and was very very nice.

ps just saw Errkal's post.
im still with beer52.
ive had one not so great box in 2 years or so where it was obvious theyd run out of beers so they plugged the gaps with 2 or 3 randoms.
the rest of the time theyve been great. more than good enough for a beer newb.

I suspect that’s part of my issue is I am very into my beers and they need to appeal to the masses so the beers tend to be a bit dull for my liking sometimes.

I tend to go to my local shop now, have a couple while chatting and picking a few to take home. Until lockdown I’d take a long walk to there to get some exercise in and the wife would come get me and the little’un would pick me a beer to take home too.

btw there was a code that got you 10 beers rather than 8 in your first order.

I got this in my last order https://www.beerproject.be/en/beer/grosse-bertha/ It's bloody delicious but I can't find it anywhere :x
