I like idea of TV's running 3d in the way the 3DS does, I dont want to have to wear glasses, and dont want the sort of 3D where its "coming out the screen at you" I like the idea of 3D tech giving depth to the image which from what I have seen of the 3DS that seems to do.

The 3d on the 3ds is crap. The only 3d which works is the oculus rift.

But yeah - I don't know a single person excited by 3D (movies or TV), not even the mates I know who spend so much money on the latest gadgetery.

Arranging trip to the cinema with friends? First question anyone says is "It's not 3D is it?" (or "Is there a 2D showing instead?")

I think I watched maybe two movies in 3D. It just doesn't really add anything of significance, at least not to my eyes.

No great loss. Avatar aside, I've seen nothing in 3D that really added any benefit, and every other time I've seen a film in 3D it's just a tacked-on novelty. The glasses are gooseberry fool as well, adding a grey tint to everything. Waste of time and money.

I tried 4D at the Birmingham Sea Life centre a few weeks ago. Watching Spongebob in 3D with real bubbles and water being squirted at you at relevant times was actually pretty interesting. Most 3D movies have been gooseberry fool, but that one was actually very impressive.
