Delighted Portugal have won, especially after all the flack Ronaldo was getting for virtually everything he did.

Deschamps cost France that game, and I hate how he seems to go out of his way not to play Martial. Hate him and his disgusting teeth.

Yeah, real shame they couldn't do it.

Portugal winning it just goes to show you don't need a team full of superstars to win a tournament, you just need to be managed well and not buckle under the weight of a moth landing on your head.

England take note.

REALLY wanted France to win, but ever since Payet's tackle on Ron (and the French booing him whilst he was waiting to be taken off) have been rooting for Portugal.

They're going to struggle to lift that trophy

Portugal make champions after finishing third in their group, and only winning one game within the standard 90 minutes. Ridiculous.

Great result for Portugal. After Ronaldo went off it certainly spurred them on. France were pretty poor, but Portugal defence was very good.

Amazing seeing Ronaldo on the side being cheerleader. Delighted for him

Just a shame we had to watch Pepe puke...

I also feel we should never have semi-finals on a Thursday. Tuesday and Wednesday were fine.

I know it's a cheap excuse. But we see a lot of teams in Europa league struggling in the league on Sunday.

It's nice that Ronaldo won right after Messi both lost a final and got convicted. Ronaldo's a massive twat on the pitch but he's a much better person off of it.

France
Italy
Germany
Spain

And now Portugal all big Western European footballing nations winning tournaments in the last 16 years

England, have only won two knockout games in that period, against Denmark and Ecuador.

Other than Iceland/Wales, I think that might be the worst tournament I've seen.

Probably forget it happened by the morning.

Yep, pretty poor all round. I'd say this and 2010 are the worst I've seen.

Ronaldo ls literally the happiest man I've ever seen

Edit: was a nice trophy lift too, none of this barging each other out the way you often say. Well done Portugal.

Yeah but we won it in 1966, the most important tournament since the baby Jesus.
