Euro 2020: Italy win it; morons, encouraged by UK govt., racially abuse England's greatest team since '66.

Wales should fancy themselves against the runners up in Group B.

They are certainly games where we should have a chance. Denmark beat us twice in the first Nations League a few years ago though so they'd be my least favoured of the three to play.

Either way it has to go down as a successful tournament for us, reading all the predictions beforehand we were down to finish last in the group by almost everyone. Last 6 years or so have been a real golden period in Welsh football and it's so much fun to watch. A lot of credit goes to Speed for what he did for the team in his short period and the changes he made to make everything more professional.

Gary Speed? I'm not a Wales fan, but glad you got through.

But I'm a NUFC fan and Gary Speed was an absolute legend! Hope he was watching from somewhere

Yeah Gary Speed. He was manager for a short period before his untimely death and took us from ranked in the 100s to 30 or so. By all accounts he completely changed the organisation and preparation of the FAW behind the scenes to make things more professional, all of the staff and players of the time have nothing but good things to say about him.

Never a bad word said about him here, was always a model professional too. I was at the game where there was a tribute to him afterward, along with the Leeds fans. Quite welled up then.

Anyhow, ahem.

Best of luck with the next round.

I don't see Italy winning it, however good they looked at times

I think Italy look pretty good, was a much changed side today as well. To me Italy and Belgium look in good form, obviously can't count out France despite the poor Hungary result and Germany and Portugal both look decent teams as well. Would be surprised if the winner wasn't amongst those five teams (yes not really sticking my neck out on the line I know  )

EDIT : Only just noticed the thread title  Top notch work updating that throughout the tournament so far.

I see UEFA have dropped a ‘review’ they were doing into Manuel Neuer wearing a rainbow armband. Something that shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place. I can’t imagine they’ll approve the German FA’s request to light ip the Allianz in rainbow colours, though.

Good news but I was not surprised the bigots at UEFA thought it was an issue. What they class as ‘political’ views is really quite worrying at times.

Only just recovered from the epic oi oi ladz banter of Friday night :slol: can barely remember the game, which seems like it was for the best.

Have had so many cringey conversations with 'international-tournament-only' football fans over the last few days . Happens every time.

First question I guess is how does some in a bio-secure bubble end up testing positive. 2nd question, surely the rest of the players also have to isolate? And the England players?

They'll go down like Dominos now and we'll be playing Croatia with Groundskeeper Willie up front and Shrek in goals. :dread:

Seeing as none of them got near Gilmour all night, I don't think they're at any risk
