Euro 2020: Italy win it; morons, encouraged by UK govt., racially abuse England's greatest team since '66.

I just mean it'd be cooler if England and Scotland could somehow meet later in the tournament is all.

They can still meet again in the final :shifty:

Technically they can meet in the quarter finals if one finishes as group winners and the other qualifies in third, with specific groups also having a team qualify out of third place.

It's a bit mad.

I totally forgot about the weird changes this year.

It's the same format as 2016 isn't it? Portugal won but in any other tournament they'd have been knocked out in the group stage as they finished third with three draws.

Yeah it's the same as last time as it's still 24 teams, which was the same format for three of the four 24 team World Cup Finals before the 1998 expansion.

I think five (haven't counted), but they have a weird sticker type which is like two half size stickers on one bit of backing paper and you get one of those in each pack.

Is Adama Traore the most overrated player in the Premier League?

Flashy muscles and runs fast but zero end product.

Looking like TAA isn't going to get picked. Sad for him but great for Liverpool.

To be honest, the Spanish squad looks very meh to me.

Wouldn't take their squad over what England, France or Germany will take.

He was like this a bit when he played for Boro. There was an endless fan argument whether he was absolutely amazing or whether he lacked "a footballing brain". His pace alone often sees him past any player, but then he'd maybe waste the opportunity or make the wrong decision. Still, those opportunities his pace did create, basically no other player could do, as he's by far the quickest I've ever seen. The opposition just didn't know what to do with him, as that pace and sudden acceleration creates doubt and nerves.

He needs a bit more coaching, though ironically the coach brought the best out of him at Boro? Tony Pulis.

I haven't followed him this season, though I know he did quite well last year. Not sure how many games he's played overall, in terms of actual minutes played, he might still still pretty inexperienced. I know when we signed him, he didn't play for a bit bar the odd sub spell. And looking at his Wiki, if you discounted Barcelona B (basically the reserves in a real league) he played a grand total of 12 times before signing for us.

I do think he's worth taking as a sub. That pacecan have an impact, especially bringing him on in the second half against tired legs. Imagine if you have him on the bench in extra time...

Here's a link to one of his games for us. I was actually at this match, and it was ridiculous how he got back in time to be so comfortable with the pass back. Admittedly, it wasn't the greatest touch forward from the Villa player, and this was the championship.

As much as I hate to admit it, England have a great squad now.

I know they don't play the same position but Ferran Torres given a spot in the squad over Ramos. :fp: Very much a meh squad but could be one of those teams that end up being better than the sum of their parts etc.

Edit: Just noticed Rodri has been included

Eric Garcia over Ramos is hilarious, he doesn't even play

Ramos is obviously a very good player but he's had a season wrecked by injury after injury. He's played as many games in 2021 as he did in the CL group stage this season (4) and Zidane didn't pick him for what could've been a title decider this weekend. Makes sense not to pick a 35 year old in that context.

I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that England will win either the Euros or the World Cup next year.
