Flashy muscles and runs fast but zero end product.
He was like this a bit when he played for Boro. There was an endless fan argument whether he was absolutely amazing or whether he lacked "a footballing brain". His pace alone often sees him past any player, but then he'd maybe waste the opportunity or make the wrong decision. Still, those opportunities his pace did create, basically no other player could do, as he's by far the quickest I've ever seen. The opposition just didn't know what to do with him, as that pace and sudden acceleration creates doubt and nerves.
He needs a bit more coaching, though ironically the coach brought the best out of him at Boro? Tony Pulis.
I haven't followed him this season, though I know he did quite well last year. Not sure how many games he's played overall, in terms of actual minutes played, he might still still pretty inexperienced. I know when we signed him, he didn't play for a bit bar the odd sub spell. And looking at his Wiki, if you discounted Barcelona B (basically the reserves in a real league) he played a grand total of 12 times before signing for us.
I do think he's worth taking as a sub. That pacecan have an impact, especially bringing him on in the second half against tired legs. Imagine if you have him on the bench in extra time...
Here's a link to one of his games for us. I was actually at this match, and it was ridiculous how he got back in time to be so comfortable with the pass back. Admittedly, it wasn't the greatest touch forward from the Villa player, and this was the championship.
